Congrats on making it to the dance. First order of business for Alberts is to give Buzz a contract extension.

NCAA likes stirring the pot for sure. Nebraska vs A&M right after one poaches an AD.

No coincidence at all.

Pretty funny sense of humor there.

Hope you have a good trip. You’re going to have to report back on the Memphis BBQ experience.

Silky’s was my go to place in my college days.

Get a dyers burger as it comes. Don’t visit Graceland but do go to Bass Pro. If you are into the hipster crowd go to midtown cooper and young. If you like higher quality places go to mud island and try Paulette’s. Everything there is fantastic.

Stay out of the shadows and in well lit, guarded, areas.

Don't wear expensive watches and don't carry a wallet and only enough cash, or one card, to get by.

Go with any StubHub, seat geek, etc. FedEx Forum has clear bag and no re-entry policy but does have two large smoking balconies.

Have lunch at Alcenia’s. There is nothing like it in Texas. You can walk there but you’ll have to pass some pretty stinky homeless so do the Main st trolley thingie to get under the highway.

Must do some ribs but forego rendezvous and do central if downtown. Cozy corner if you drive or uber. Don’t walk to cozy corner.

Forego Graceland and tour Sun Studio.

Don’t cheap out on a hotel. They will all be slightly worse than what you are expecting for that brand. Some, like holiday inn may be significantly worse than you’d expect.

Tickets are pretty expense on the third party sites- just FYI- maybe have luck walking up-can’t say I’d count on that.

This is my biggest question. I thought that getting tickets on site would be easy - that a huge venue in Tennessee hosting Neb v A&M would be far from selling out. But I don't know.

You should get a feel for prices by tomorrow night. If they’re going down, they will continue to go down.
All fedex forum events iirc are ticketed from ticketmaster via a grizzles app which is kind of a pain imho. It’s like a separate Ticketmaster. Maybe schedule 15 min to get the app working on your trip also. You can still obviously buy on any site, but you’ll be getting grizzlies app tickets. Cool thing is they let you move them to your mobile wallet also so no turning up the brightness and holding your phone just right.
