Are you really that worried about what people on a message board think about you or your team? I truly hope not. It's pretty much irrelevant if people think Mizzou "belongs" in the SEC or not since they are here to stay. Maybe if y'all hadn't won so much right after coming on board people might be more accepting. Anyways it doesn't matter. Win what you can and don't worry about the rest. Also frick Mizzou.

There really isn't one thing appealing about the entire state of Missouri. It just feels strange to me. Hard to put a finger on it.

This has absolutely zero to do with it. In fact, this helps your cause, not hurts it. The SEC is a meritocracy in that way. And there are many ways to slice it: game to game, head to head, rivalries, division races, championships, etc. That's what makes the SEC fun.
Why most people hate Mizzou is because your BOT capitulated to a spoiled idiot who trumped up COMPLETELY fabricated incidences to bully the school and it's administration, and after it was proven to be completely fabricated, nothing was done. Your enrollment is down, your endowment is down, you're getting what you deserve.
I can't speak for everyone, but that's why I hate Mizzou. The athletic teams that you field are just the easiest way to express that.
I hope Mizzou loses every game they ever play in any sport at any time for any reason. They represent the scourge of politically correct horseshite that has been dumped on our country.

Southern Missouri is no different than Arkansas, Kentucky or Tennessee. And I have been to all the SEC states except South Carolina.
