You are delusional if you put OM on the same plane as Auburn, overall. Lane knows he doesn't have enough for a ship currently at OM. He is definitely the type to jump ship. Boosters have the money. That's not a question.

I don't know why people are so obsessed with Kiffin. He's a rich-kid daddy's boy that's never really accomplished anything other than the few years he rode Saban and Kirby's coat tails to a ring. He's a "bro" coach that metro-sexual frat boys fawn over. He ocassionally gets "savage" on Twitter and the guffawing finger sniffers go nuts because their lives are otherwise empty. Perfect fit for Ole Miss, I guess.

Auburn is undoubtedly miles away from making to Atlanta any time soon. But there is absolutely no reason to think Auburn won't be back in the SECCG before Ole Miss makes it a first time.
What has been the trajectory of Auburns program compared to Ole Miss say over the last 3 years? One is swing hard up while the other is dropping like a rock. So not only are you miles behind but your are driving in the wrong direction!

This is gonna be a close game. Vandy pushed the Ole Miss D around for a good part of the game, AU pass defense is not gonna give up 250yds to one guy. This game is good for AU on the road early kick and it is the week before Ole Miss plays LSU. Hell Kiffin was running HuNH under a minute to beat the spread saturday. Gotta be some Karma payback for, that,
Ole Miss is an early team so it's right in our sweet spot. Kiffin wants this one badly.
You obviously did not watch the Ole Miss Vandy game.

A three year data window? Hard to argue with that level of insightful statistical analysis.
BTWs, Auburn's record against Ole Miss in those 3 years -- 3-0.

I'm counting about 7 SEC championships for Auburn since Ole Miss has won one.

It is amazing how thoroughly Saban's run at Gump-U has destroyed the Auburn football program.

As much as I would love to see Harsin get fired and watch Auburn sink their program even further, I don't think they'll be that dumb.
They are pretty much in a fricked no matter what position though.
Because as soon as you know you want to fire your HC, and when it becomes publicly accepted, you need to do it ASAP. Otherwise the existing coaching staff is going to be spending more time working on their resumes and finding their next job than they are doing things like recruiting and planning for the next year. Promote your OC, DC etc to the position, and make them think they have a chance at the position next year. Then they will recruit, the staff will think they have a job next year, etc. You probably hire someone else in the end, but you keep it together.
But Harsin is in year 2. If you fire your HC that quickly, and you have pulled the rug out from under him, other coaches are going to notice. A coach with other options is not going to choose a school who does that over others. So if they do fire him, they at the same time limit who they are going to get to replace him.
Sure money will go far, but other schools have money also. Any coach looking to climb the ladder will find other options. They'll be forced into hiring some coach who is just their for the money. Kind of like Mike Leach at Miss St, only Mike Leach is already at Miss St and that's the best case. Freeze maybe, but I doubt it really.
They pretty much have to figure out which grenade is better to jump on at this point.
