Thank you Tiger for pointing this out. Most of these morons just look at the poll and automatically dismiss his votes as a joke, but if you read the explanation instead of jamming your fat hands into the keyboard, you'd realize it's actually understandable (whether you agree with it or not).

Most complain that preseason polls don't matter, and this voter doesn't vote based on preconceived notions or reputations. I think THAT is to be admired.

I have no problem with his voting because he was simply following the guidelines put in front of him.

In truth, if all the voters did this every week, base votes on actual results, the poll would be more credible and less of a lock step that favors teams ranked high early even if a lower team is performing better.

The early polls will look more like this ballot, sort of random looking, but as the season progresses they would tend to be more accurate. Some of the computers are similar with lots of fluctuation at the beginning and then more in line with perception as the season progresses.

Not that its how I would vote, I would definitely still have Florida as 1, but at least its consistent, unlike most top 25 lists.

Why was USC rated over Alabama after the first week? Just a popularity contest.

As for the coaches poll being much better, LOL, they don't even watch most of the games.

He's following the guidelines...that's pretty cool. Better than people voting someone high just because they're popular or voting a team in because people think it's their God-given right to be in the top 25 (I'm looking at you Notre Dame). Also better than a local homer putting their team way too high

So.......

He votes based on AP criteria, and not on pre-season polls, and we should laugh?

You'll be begging for this guy at the end of the season. He sounds like the most logical voter I know of.

This came up last week. I'll say it again, by week 6 it will straighten itself out.
