Bama and LSU I believe are the only 2 that have played in the game from the west since we made the jump to the SEC.

And Auburn.

We put a record rushing performance on your expansion mates from Mizzou in Atlanta. Not to mention us getting hammered by Georgia in '17. So yeah, it's been more than Bama and LSU.

And immediately had the best season they'd had in more than a decade.
A Heisman winning qb helps with that.

And a future multiple Pro Bowl, likely future HOF WR.

And a bunch of future 1st rounders on the o-line.

Sherman was a hell of a program builder. Sumlin inherited a hell of a team in 2012.

You get to be abused by UCF,Cincy, UH and the Mormons for a couple of years before your departure to the mecca of college football.

I don't think "the SEC" will be in for any "eye-opening" events in that stadium.
I think he meant during the timeouts whenever they show the tiffs treats commercials.

Never in my life have I seen commercials so cringe yet still want to give money to the establishment

Lol. They've been stuck in the Big 12 so long they actually think their stadium atmosphere is special. They really don't know what a great gameday atmosphere looks like anymore.

DKR will be a bottom-half of the conference experience in the SEC.

holy goalpost move batman.

The topic was texas struggling to make the SECCG in a league far better top to bottom than what they're used to and your comment is about a game from 4 seasons ago when half our best players were injured or opted out?

Mighty strange.

I believe that......The SEC will wonder why they invited a subpar team when we already had Vandy.

They have 3 years to solve the Kansas riddle trapped inside an enigma.

Then and only then will they be ready for the SEC

Florida
Georgia
Texas A&M
Tennessee
Auburn
Alabama
LSU
(In no certain order)
Will all be epic atmospheres they will have to deal with as far as loud and intimidating. I could even put South Carolina in there, too.

I remember that year! That was the year Mississippi State beat Texas A&M! What has that got to do with this year?

Welcome to 2022.

It’s hard to answer this until we know what the schedule looks like? When could they be one of the 2 best teams, I’d think in the first 3-5 years.

Alabama, Georgia, & LSU have all won the NC in the last 3 years and consistently have top 5 classes, Florida and Auburn have done that if you go back 15 years, and been better than Texas in the same time frame. Oklahoma has been better overall the last decade. If there are no divisions and getting to the SECC means being top 2 in the league then they’d have be better than 5 of those 6, to say nothing of potentially ascending TN, TAMU, AR, TN, OM, etc teams.

There are going to be a lot of teams including my Dawgs that have a hard time making it to Atlanta consistently.

Longhorns, when do y’all expect to make it to the SECCG? Football FWIW. What’s a realistic timeframe y’all are giving your team when they get to the SEC?
They are deluded and entitled.

They expect to win the SEC last year.

"getting close" to what, exactly?

Progress usually looks like meaningful change in the right direction. Staying 8-4 forever is not progress.

Took Mizzou 1 season to get to the SECCG tho and they been twice since. So TAMU isnt a good measurement of success
Is the SEC planning to put t.u. and Okie in the East? If so, that does improve their chances.
