*Among current SEC teams

Football - in the AP Poll era
Vanderbilt: 25 years (1983-2007)
Missouri: 13 years (1984-1996)
Texas A&M: 9 years (1958-1966)
Vanderbilt: 8 years (1960-1967)
Kentucky: 8 years (1966-1973)

We didn't know what we would find when we set out on this. But this is quite the crew here.

Given how terrible we were between Bear Bryant and Emory Bellard, I'm surprised it wasn't longer.

I was truly expecting a bunch of Vandy/Kentucky streaks and, no offense to you State fans, a Miss St streak sprinkled in somewhere.

TA&M wasn't in the west when their streak occurred, so I guess not.

So were we. No offense taken. Historically, it hasn’t been good. Just glad we’re able to be respectable these days.

Between 1958-1966, A&M won a total of 25 games.

Their record during that time was 25-59-6.

I don’t know why. You’ve seen our overall record. Damn near batting a perfect .500

Saved by winning the Egg Bowl in 1970 (had State lost, would have been 10 losing seasons in a row 1964-1973)

Hey now. Mizzou was runner up in a lot of the games during that streak.
