Suprisingly, AU's longest streak was 5 years (1946-1950). Considering that we deemphasized football as a sport from 1923 until Shug's hiring following that dreadful 0-10 1950 season, that's not bad.
That's the upside of consistent mediocrity: yeah, we haven't strung together a lot of great seasons, but we haven't sucked out loud a lot of years in a row either

I wonder if this accomplishment will go in Aggie's Hall of Champions.

*State fans breathe a sigh of relief*

Yeah but have you seen aTm's endowment?
We didn't have that big of an endowment then. We were a small all male school of about 6-7k.

Croom's miracle 2007 season saved a similar streak from 01-09

You mean like lighting the tower when finishing 69th?

How did LSU avoid this list with the Hallman years thrown in?
Posted on 6/5/19 at 6:02 pm to LC412000
LSU could have been on the list had it not been for the 95-97 teams who were pretty decent

Yeah, it went way over. I'll see myself out.

Y’all had 6 years in the 90s. Pretty embarrassing it’s so recent.

LSU never had more than 3 sub .500 seasons in a row, believe it was ‘54, ‘55, and ‘56 until Mike Archers last 2 seasons followed by Curly Hallmans 4 that gave us 6 in a row ‘89-‘94 better known as The Dark Ages of LSU football...

I can’t imagine being that bad while alive.

That 6 year streak that started 30 years ago is recent? Yeah it’s really embarrassing coming out of that streak and winning 2 National Championships and played for a third...the last time the aTm won one Hitler was still in power...

Is it safe to assume you stopped at 8 because LSU's is 7 and/or next on the list?

You never assume, and LSUs longest streak was ‘89-‘94, 6 seasons...

I still find it embarrassing you claim a 2 loss season as a national title.

I find it embarrassing you think it’s a claim when there was an actual title game played...
You know what else is embarrassing, 1939 and counting...

Didn’t go that far. Wanna give it a shot for the next 5 longest?
