If UGA makes it out unscathed, it'd be the best regular season schedule wise ever.
true, not sure any CFB team has ever had to face a gauntlet like that. Except Gata of course, but that's a different story.

If jawja makes it through their schedule unscathed they will have earned my respect as the best CFB of 2024 regardless of how the playoffs go.

Bama looked worse against USF last year, but I can’t really remember what happened when they played Georgia later in the season. What happened in the SEC Championship game?

Georgia played in the Leastern division for years. It's about damn time Georgia had a tough schedule.

When did Alabama play a really scary schedule?

The "Leastern" split with the West 2 of the last 4 years, so there's that. Maybe the west wasn't so tough after all?

Final standings ranked teams:
2023-
West: 3
East: 3

2022:
West: 3
East: 3 (National Champions)

2021:
West: 3
East: 2 (National Champions)

2020:
West: 2 (National Champions)
East: 2

2019:
West: 3 (National Champions)
East: 2

WOW! Look at the huge difference! Was the west stronger? Yes. was it some insurmountable behemoth? Hardly.
Seems west fans like to live in some made up fantasy world.

So you play 3 teams. I know that seems insurmountable compared to the usual UGA cream puff east schedule but I think y'all will be ok.

Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas....and you counted and came up with three?
That would be 4 top 7 teams. (I thought i would help you out since your maths does not seem like a strong suit for you)

And, there was that Clemson game.

I mean, remind us again who Alabama plays this year?

UGA usually plays a pussy schedule, so please stop crying. Thanks.

Let's take a look at this statement, shall we?

According to Sagarin Strength of Schedule rankings:

2023-
I'm sure it's somewhere. Will update after I find it.

2022-
Georgia: #12
Alabama #20

2021:
Georgia: #10
Alabama #4

2020:
Georgia: #26
Alabama #6

2019:
Georgia #13
Alabama #49

2018:
Georgia #10
Alabama: #9

2017:
Georgia: #6
Alabama #27

I know you are not very good at math, so let me help you out. Georgia played tougher schedules than Alabama in 3 of the last 6 years. One of the years Alabama actually managed to play a tougher schedule they had the #4 schedule and Georgia had the #10 schedule. Another year Alabama was #9 while Georgia was #10. HUGE difference.

AND, Alabama's schedule was ranked #49 one year.

To put it in even more perspective, over the 6 year time, avergae schedule rankings:

Georgia-12.8
Alabama 19.1

Don’t act like that is a normal schedule. It’s not.
It's not a normal schedule, however many teams have tougher than normal schedules in 2024.

UGA is one of them.

Do you think Georgia thought they were getting the ALABAMA team that struggled on the Plains the next week in the SECCG?

Truth be told, I was hoping we would!

Fact is, Alabama came out prepared with a good game plan and played well. We made two costly mistakes and Alabama beat us. It is what it is. I honestly think we had the better team, but the better team does not always win and Alabama outplayed us.

The only real difference between the east and west historically was mostly Vandy.

Vandy won just 33% of their games (overall) in the SEC divisional era.

There were 5 more from the original 12 SEC divisional teams in the 45-55% range... 2 from the east and 3 from the west. If you switched out Vandy with MSU, Ole Miss or Arkansas then all the talk about divisional strength would have been reversed.

Vandy was just bad in the divisional era of the SEC.

The schedule imbalance is going to be crazy annually. Does the SEC have a publicly released formula on how they generate the schedule?

Tennessee's SEC schedule is relatively manageable but I hate that it goes 2 away games/4 home games/2 away games. That is absurd to me.

Yep, always beat up after that game. Couldn't ask for a tougher draw after OU game.

Imagine someone joining a board and making a non-confrotational post about SEC schedules and making assumptions. I've read the board for a while. I'll admit that I'm probably only here because Tennessee looks like a good football team, but I didn't troll you so stop being dicks. There are going to be new people joining a board like this all the time and not all are going to be alters or trolls.

Possibly a little.

It may have gone better for UGA if Bama looked great against Auburn. I hate when UGA's opponent looked bad the week before we play them.

Not happy about UK shitting the bed last week for example.
