This notion that Alabama sucks on special teams has always been overblown. Kicking has been an Achilles heel, but even that is overblown.
Punting had been tremendous for over a decade until 2018. It’s been a problem since DeLong didn’t live up to his name.
The coverage units are always great. The return units are really good too.

Yea - we suck at kicking field goals, always and forever.
We are generally average to very good at punting (Skyler DeLong excluded).
Our coverage teams and punt returning are elite.

Too bad Arkansas' punter sucks.. he'd be getting decent exposure with the amount of times I'm sure he punts in games.

We've only punted 18 times all year, which is tied for #1 in the nation.
A lot of those came in garbage time when the subs were in as well.

Outside of place kicking, and assuming PErine continues to be solid punting, our special teams is elite. The PR, KR, and punt and kickoff coverage has been extremely good.

He hasn't really been solid. I believe 2 of his 4 punts got really great rolls after bad to mediocre line-drive kicks.
