Did they just get swept in Knoxville? Yes, yes they did. Did they follow the MSU/Ole Miss precedent by falling off a cliff after winning a baseball title? Yes, yes they did.
But more importantly, and the only reason I commented at all on baseball in April, is the LSU fanbase(as a breed) just low hanging fruit that deserves to be shite on? Yes, absolutely and across the board and in every sport.

Pretty much sums up TN baseball. After 2022, doesn't seem they have learned much.
I will say they are moving up the boards and playing very good ball right now. I look forward to a SEC tourney showdown.
I honestly think TN is better than Arkansas at the end of the season. Arkansas is too reliant on their pitching and this will be the death of them.
Bama has the 3rd best BA in the SEC. See what they did to the "elite" pitching of Ark? They also rank #23rd in nation in dingers. Arkansas? Not in Top 50 in either, too reliant on pitching versus too many truly elite hitting teams coming to face them.
Gotta have a combo of great pitching with elite hitting to win the CWS. Go ask LSU about that formula from 2023.

Honest question since I don't watch baseball, but how can you guys go from winning a natty the year prior to just falling off a cliff this year? I've heard you guys had a few guys drafted in the MLB but I still thought you guys were gonna be really good this year. What gives?

April 14 seems a bit early for Tennessee fans to be proclaiming LSU’s death…
especially considering the Vols were 5-10 (SEC) at this point last season and facing a situation not unlike the one LSU currently finds themselves in.
