Daughter works across the street from the Capitol. They were in the basement at one point.
Prayers for my fellow Arkansans.

I bet the $$ damage is going to be insane.
From what I've seen it's mostly older homes. The brick ones faired pretty well. Of all the places for it to hit, this probably did as little financial damage as possible to hit in the middle of the city. Just south, east, or west would've been much worse. Looks like Purple Cow took a hit.
Some entire neighborhoods are flattened. Hard to believe anyone could survive in many of those if they were home.

A lot of Christians in west Little Rock and we were all on our knees praying this afternoon. Can't describe how terrifying it was. Praying for my friends who didn't fare so well.

It is always the brick houses that do much better than the cheap houses in a tornado.
They build these houses now as cheap as they can be.

That would be terrifying to be in a car and get thrown in a river.

Yup. One of the houses I know of with damage was a very nice home the roof got taken off which I assume means bad things for the inside too. The people in it were holed up in the bathroom and they are ok so that’s really what’s important.

I don’t know how true those claims are, but it went over that bridge I believe. I sure hope not.

More lives could be saved if folks hold these no good cheap arse contractors accountable.
The house my parents built in the lower half is made of two feet of solid concrete and can easily withstand a tornado. The second level isn't but the roof is held by straps that is hurricane resistant.

Have you heard of any casualties?
Posted on 3/31/23 at 7:20 pm to Hawglicious
I’ve seen rumors of multiple ones in the Breckinridge area.

Prayers for all of you in the path of these storms. Hope it's just a bunch of property damage when all is said and done.
Looks like Memphis and Nashville are on deck.
Stay safe Y'all.
