is it possible people are trying to get their money back after the other bcs games all went to the underdog.

personally I thought there was no way Baylor or Bama would lose.

Nope. People here spouting shite out of their arse. Then public is driving this line. That doesn't mean jack shite in this type of game as the public has plenty of info and there is no "advantage" for "sharp" money.

Makes no difference though. People talking sharp or public money in this game or vegas taking sides are just delusional and looking for some sort of rationalization to make themselves feel better about who they want to win and that is it period.

Dude you don't have a fricking clue. I've been doing this for a long time talked to plenty in the industry including oddsmakers on how it works. I did it for a living for a year with well over $1M in action.

You believe what you want. I used to be young and dumb as well.

So tempting to take FSU. base this on the fact that FSU knows how to stop all spread offences and the one similar one they faced (Clemson) FSU destroyed.
frick it I'm going to bet $200 on FSU to cover.

Identifying public/sharp money is arguably one of the top three most important cconcepts in sports betting. That dictates line movements, which ultimately dictates value. For non sharp bettors that are more than just casual gamblers it's an important concept.

You're not a sharp and laugh at people identifying sharp/public money = you're dumb

If anyone knows a bookie in Mobile, I wouldn't mind that action.

Although I doubt local lines are any better than +8.5.

Might be worth a drive to Biloxi.

There isn't "insider" info crossing a desk somewhere. It's the general public putting their change on FSU.

Local lines suck in Alabama. Just checked my buddies local (bham) buddies line and it is au 9 and plus 270 ml.

I'm not arguing with him. His "I know Auburn football so I'm more qualified than anyone" told me enough. Auburn is only 1 of the 2 teams playing. I'm sure he's more informed than everyone else on FSU also.

I hope the line keeps climbing.

I have FSU at -8.5 (+100). I will get off the game with a potential middle by hitting AU at +10.5 if I can get +100 or better.

No problem. And correction, moneyline is only plus 250 at the moment. Pitiful. I'm getting plus 310 at PH right now. 60 points is a lot. Sorta pissed I put down my bigger bets right after the seccg before I left Vegas early Dec.

If I knew you IRL, I'd have you lay a couple grand for me to save me the drive to Biloxi.

Yeah, better not to argue with me. I saw your posts in a thread on the more sports board. I got a good chuckle out of the way you think about betting lines.

It is the common mindset of a lot a people I have known that were big on sportsbetting so I've had plenty of conversations with people with those delusions. Some are in and out of GA as well.

you can't blame a local bham bookie for undervaluing auburn... everyone in their position would be doing the same.

Yeah, I'm right here and just a quick trip downstairs. I'll put down a few hundred for my buddy in Bham if he want to take AU today. He may end up betting FSU though.

Agreed.

It's not about blame, though. Just a mild irritation at the inconvenience it causes.

My 50/50 split is often theoretical and not reality because of necessary line moves? That's the only info I've ever posted besides a specific game.
