From a personal and lifestyle perspective Norman is a pretty good place to live compared to BR. If I had little kids like Lincoln does I'd prefer to live in Norman. Much tamer place.

North Texas including the DFW area is essentially Baja Oklahoma......
Oklahoma recruits nationally as well....
The difference is getting athletes admitted, no problem at LSU....
The other thing is two idiot coaches recently won nattys at LSU, Ogeron and Miles, so it is easier at LSU.....
But in the end LR stays with the blue blood, it means more....

There is zero reasos why….. he would leave zero everything you said is false . Texas recruiting is as good or better than most . LSU is not recruiting any better than OU this year or next and there program is going on probation soon . Riley knows 1000 mil or not it’s. No brained to stay at OU
Good grief who let the retarded OU fans in here? This post set back written language decades.

Mike Gundy is more accomplished in that state.
Please defend this comment with actual factual information. How is Mike gundy statistically been more successful than Lincoln Riley.

TRUE, I lived in OKC for 2 years and 96 days back in the 90’s. The best part was low humidity. But the food is much better in BR.

LOL
What a dumb take. OU has recruited well since I can remember, better than LSU most of that time.
As for instate, that doesn't even matter anymore. The major programs recruit nationally and a state boundary stops nobody.

At LSU he could still recruit Texas while getting a lot more in state talent.
Oklahoma is currently #8 in the recruiting rankings. LSU is #12. Just food for thought. Riley recruits well enough at Oklahoma to win a national championship. He doesn't need to go to LSU to do that.

Oklahoma HS football is mediocre talent wise. If Riley stays at OU his stock has a more likely chance of going down when they enter the SEC. From a career trajectory and $$$ standpoint he would betting on himself at a big risk. Taking the LSU job would give him a much better recruiting base and a better position to compete. Staying at OU will put him at a recruiting and competitive disadvantage imo.
This is a dumb take. Riley, like Stoops before him takes pretty much who he wants out of Texas,

LR is still growing into the HC role . He can do that at Norman with all the tradition of a Blue Blood behind him . He is not stupid (Ogeron). He knows what he has and that it was handed to him on a silver platter . He has gotten past initial learning phase. Once he hands off the play calling he will start winnng nattys....
