They finished 5th in the SEC last year and demand others to bow down to them. This might have worked in the Big 12 but the SEC is just laughing at them as a whole.

I don't get why LSU fans are so hung up on final SEC standings. I would have much rather finished 3rd in the SEC in 2011 than 1st. I am sure LSU fans agree...

Most likely. Whether it's for A&M, LSU or both, is another question. Hopefully both because I'm about 90% sure it will be for A&M.

I hope the only game every year we wear all-maroon is against LSU. Would be a cool tradition.

This. Have always liked our all maroons, but especially now that adidas finally got the color right. Badass look.

Well since Texas A&M has had one top 5 finish in the last 50 years I would say the Aggies have had a rough half century.

Its like saying that Chris Petersen is a good coach. No, he is not. I am not sure what conference they are in nowadays, but when they were in their historic peasant conference, they were the only big boys on the block. They beat up on creampuffs everyday. LSU has always relied on defense because their offense has never been worth a damn. Les Miles really needs to thank whoever your DC is. Miles has relied on elite defenders this whole time and there was a mass exodus to the League after last season.

you are absolutley right. i mean look at LSU and alabama, they NEVER have had any rough time in their football history. if there is anything we can all agree on, its that college football isnt cyclical and that programs that have a had rough decade will never get out of it

Who's saying this?

Black helmet>>> maroon helmet>>> white helmet.

Although I like the white lids better now with the gray facemasks instead of the maroon.

My point is: good luck. Teams that throw the ball around in this league will have field days.

1 top 5 finish in the last 50 years.

Texas A&M 4-12 in their last 16 bowls.

I guess last year was basically yalls super bowl and something the majority of Aggie fans have never seen before in their lifetime.

For LSU and Bama, they both would be disappointed that a national championship was not won.

See the difference?

You're comparing Confrence USA type stuff to LSU's SEC history? Don't do that.

LSU has had good offenses, Matt Flynn had over 3k passing yards, Russel got drafted #1 overall after a great senior year. RB's have gotten over 1k rushing.

You're referring to the past few years, that's fine.

Besides it is about winning. Les Miles has his record and he has 2 SEC championships and a BCS trophy with another appearance. He, alone, is more successful than a&m has been in your, or my lifetime. That isn't even debatable.

Its really not hard to understand why A&M should be a solid, if not elite, program for years to come. When we moved to the SEC (and the prestige that comes with that) we picked up ALOT of recruits that may have otherwise chosen UT or OU (they received more primetime games in the Big 12 before last season) Our recruiting class jumped dramatically last year and there is no indication of that fading. The fact that Texas kids can stay in Texas to play football and be in the SEC (spotlight) is the reason I believe we have started a program that should not go through "down phases" any longer. I know its hard for you LSU and Bama fans to admit but we are here and we are here to compete, not just this year but for years to come, and i must admit it is because of the prestige that the SEC has that our recruiting has skyrocketed the way it did.

Maybe after this year we will get the respect we deserve. Although if i recall correctly before the UF game last year I remember a few quotes.

"A&M isnt physical enough to play in the SEC" - cleared up and disproved the 1st quarter of that UF game

"This isnt the Big 12 we play defense here" - Id say our defense spoke for itself last year (holding my breath for this year)
