the SEC doesn't compete with the ACC in basketball.
Just the facts.

Gators are 7-1 against ACC teams in the NCAA tournament.

I don't think you understand how basketball works. The Tourney is great but there's an entire body of work to look at. Good teams even schedule good teams so you can actually see how teams and conferences stack up. There's plenty of stats driven data too - much more than in football. It all says that the SEC was every bit the ACC's equal this year (actually probably its better).

SidewalkTiger dickriding A&M.
Something I never thought I'd see.

The regular season is meaningless in basketball (as long as your record gets you in the tournament with a decent seed). Good teams struggle early, often because they are working out kinks, figuring out what the team ought to be doing. The NCAA is the measuring stick of the season, far and away more important than anything else.

You're confusing the measure of your team's progress with the measure of a conference and teams in general. If he was talking about UK or UT's individual season I'd agree to a large extent but he's not.

Dickriding is what a group has to do when their team can't get it done.
For instance, Aggie dickrides Kansas because they won their last game over Texas while Aggie didn't.
LSU is 24-2 vs the ACC so really no reason for me to dickride.
