There was a clear reason why LSU and Alabama wanted nothing to do with that thug.
You do know that LSU and Alabama offered a scholarship to him, right? And at one time he was committed to Alabama.

And they both eventually told him he wouldn’t have a spot at either place because of his well-known gang ties.
A&M doesn’t know what “character evaluation” even means.
They just take any and all trash they can get.

Too good of a driver for Kirby.

I have no idea how it all played out, but you did say Alabama and LSU wanted nothing to do with him. Apparently both wanted him. Your comment makes me wonder if either school did due diligence if his "gang ties" were well known, yet both offered him.

Possibly. I never heard about him getting a ticket.
In al seriousness, Georgia offered him, too, so I was not taking a shot at LSU or Alabama. Just stating that what NFLSU said was factually incorrect.

You think a RB from Baton Rouge willingly chose to go to A&M over LSU and Alabama?
You’re trying really hard to defend Aggy.

I am not "defending" anybody.
I just find it odd when fan bases point fingers at other schools when a former player gets into trouble...then act like their own school did not recruit the same player or worse players.
Do you really want to to act as if no former LSU players got into trouble after leaving? It happens to all of us. It is what it is. But you said Alabama and LSU did not want him and I showed where apparently both schools did indeed want him. He was recruited in the 2022 class. The class A&M put all their marbles into one recruiting class and paid their class a ton of money gambling it would pay off. So, yes, I do believe that an Istrouma kid would leave BTR and choose A&M over LSU and Alabama...for the money. I mean it's not exactly a foreign concept. It happens all the time.
