I am very happy with him and don’t know any Ags that are not.
I did but very few liked Mond before and now its even worse.

As an overall upgrade over Sumlin? Yes. Remember, Sumlin lost 59-0 to Bama and managed to fumble both Kyle Allen AND Kyler Murray.
He still has a lot to prove, but the recruiting effort appears to be as good as any in the country. Just needs to string together a couple of 10 win seasons and this thing gets going quick.
Overall: B+

Your A&M buddies? LOL wtf? I don't know anyone that is upset with Jimbo's effort so far. Strange and disconnected post.

Every Aggy I work with is happy but have a keen eye open at this point. They were expecting things to happen much sooner.

Then they weren't following the team closely.
A&M hasn't had quality receivers since Kirk and Ratley in 2017. Demond Demas and Moose Muhammad may be the answer this season.
Aside from Ifedi, Lanfear and Sutherland (who all left after the 2018 season), we haven't had quality offensive linemen playing besides Kenyon Green, who was a true freshman on 2019

I'll let you know when I see us play with our next QB. I'm cautiously optimistic at this point. His recruiting seems to have more "hits" and is steadily improving the overall ability. Hopefully we can hang on to Elko for a few more years.

Jhamon Ausbon (#10 WR, 2017) decommitted from LSU to play for AM. He would have been a beast in a proper offense with a reliable qb. LSU then moved on to Justin Jefferson (#308 WR, 2017).
AM problem is Dameyune Craig. He doesn't make a team better.
Anyway, what gives any AM fan confidence in Calzada or Haynes King?

Elko is the real deal. Very concerned about Jimbo and the confidence of the Ags I know.

You got to have them all players ready as a group. Not one group there and another group there and none at another group. They key is get them all ready at the same time.

I am sure you would say the same thing for your HC Orgeron.

Last year LSU got everyone at the right time ready. Hit it all at the right time. It took Orgeron time to get it all together. Now give Texas A&M time to do the same! Can't give Orgeron the time and not Jimbo the same time to get it fix and done right. Also Texas A&M did not have the players like LSU had before Orgeron become the HC. Jimbo needed more time to get the players that was lacking in the SEC level. Also LSU were a quarterback and a key offensive coach away to win it all. Texas A&M wasn't even close to that. Huge difference from what you are talking about. If you put Orgeron at Mizzou and it will take a lot longer to make it competitive. Same thing what I am saying about Texas A&M.

Ausbon committed to A&M because of Mond, pure and simple. As far as Craig, Ausbon's numbers got exponentially better once Sumlin was fired.
2017 (FR) - 50 catches for 571 yards and 3 TD in 12 games (11.4 ypc)
2018 (SO) - Missed 4 games due to injury. 31 catches for 375 yards. (12.1 ypc)
2019 (JR) - 66 catches for 872 yards and 5 TD. (13.2)

This may sound like a troll but I’m legit wondering—-have any other key contributors been following Mond around on this crusade? I’m assuming this Ausbon guy is expected to have a big year?

One’s an engineer and he picked Dak Prescott round 1 in the office fantasy league. The other has an MBA from aTm. Can’t remember who He picked. It wasn’t as bad as the engineer.
Funny thing. We were eating breakfast one morning at a Hilton Garden Inn and I told both that I thought you guys were finally going to beat us. A few weeks later 72-70 happened.

Sounds like those Ags need to brush up on their football acumen.

We must disagree on the definition of exponential growth. For the 2017 recruiting class, I would define exponential growth in the range of #9 WR Devonta Smith, or #11 WR Henry Ruggs, and definitely #308 WR Justin Jefferson rather than the #10 WR Ausbon's incremental growth. Sounds like you are trying to convince yourself
Demayune Craig has been riding on Sammy Coatestails for 5 years now

Ausbon has a low ceiling. He is a great possession receiver but is not fast enough or capable enough to create separation.
Watch him at the 2021 combine. I will be SHOCKED if he runs a sub 4.8.
