Breeders seem to think it's a weakened bloodline due to inbreeding for decades.
UGA just needs some new blood in the program, in more ways than one.
this, Uga VIII died of cancer after he had some gastro-intestinal bug. they discovered it before the bowl game and thought they could treat it but sadly the little guy didn't make it through chemo
Uga VII, one of my favorites, died of i think heart failure
Uga VI died later in life of congenital heart failure
they need to introduce some new blood into the line they are just aiming to keep the dogs all white which is the problem

Yeah right.

I can understand the concern for animals like eagles and tigers, but mike lives in a $2 million apartment. Not many people can claim that.
I've got no problem with LSU having a tiger, but let's be real about it. Baton Rouge is not a native habitat for tigers. They were born to roam, frick, kill, and eat. Does he get to do any of that in that cage?

I don't mind the idea behind PETA, but damn use your time and money trying to help animals that are ACTUALLY in need, not animals like at LSU and Auburn which are treated better than some humans.
Animal human societies have dissociated with PETA for the their outrageous beliefs.
PETA does not care unless the camera will be on them. You don't see them out there helping animals being illegally sold out in front of walmart or rescuing an animal from a kill shelter. Istead they want for the spot light, media and Camera's then they are up in arms.
Just ignore them and have the AU AD tell them politely to go frick themselves back to California.

That probably has something to do with it but that breed doesn't live very long anyway.
We had a couple of bulldogs our vet told us that their average lifespan is only four or five years.
Prone to respiratory infections

Yes, because the tiger population in Louisiana is no doubt, bountiful.

If you hop in that cage, Mike will get to do three of those things.

Yeah just think of all the animals that were killed to make her cotton dresses.

Since you wanna be real about this situation, the facts are, this particular Mike was born and raised in captivity in Indiana at a Tiger reserve and was raised in captivity. It's a proven fact that Tiges born and raised in captivity cannot live in the wild, they would die of starvation pretty fast in fact (Such as Tigers born at the zoo). So don't you worry about good ole Mike, he's living the best possible life he could possibly live, especially since he coudn't survive in the wild.

I heard big mike is planning a prison break. Better be on the look out. Cause I'd bet money he'd eat a person before he starved to death.
