Only 20% of your football team will ever play another game when they're done at Bama. I'd guess that that same stat is larger for our baseball roster.

True. A larger percentage of a college baseball team's roster will go on to play again....but of that percentage....how many of them will actually make a 25-man roster on a MLB team?

Most won't go further than AAA baseball.

A college baseball team that wins the national championship in Omaha would probably be swept by the worst A team in the minors. That's why I don't care.

Just like a college football team that wins the national championship, would probably lose to the worst NFL team

Yet you care about football

Again, bamalogic. If we suck, is not important

So you're saying that the percentage is smaller in a game with thousands of more prospects, half as many roster spots, and a game that is played world wide? Yeah, I would expect it to be. Structurally it is setup that way. That is an incredibly low brow reason to not watch an event.

Secondly, I think the winners in Omaha could match up favorably with a Single A ball club. Double AA would definitely be better than a college team, but at many levels of Single A ball are filled with high school drafted "projects" that are just learning how to play the game of baseball.
The Pirates and Orioles lost to Manatee C.C. and Norfolk respectively in Spring Training last year. Those are 3A and some MLB caliber squads.

True...but not a good comparison. A better comparison would be the national champion of college football going up against a mid-level CFL team.

True. I'm not just sure how future pro results 5 years in the future affects current college baseball viewing pleasure.

I've never been to any minor league game at any level that is as exciting as an LSU game. That's what I base my give-a-shite level on, not unpredictable future results as a pro.

At least with college football you are watching future professional stars play for your favorite university.

Like how I didn't get to watch an LSU player score the World Series winning run this past year, or an LSU player close out the World Series 3 years ago.
A pro championship, something Julio will never know anything about without changing teams

First of all, your beloved Crimson Tide football team would get skulldrug by the worst NFL team. Your coach is out of his league when trying to match wits with the coaches up there, and your players would get manhandled by the men in the NFL. Heck, they may even get flagged for holding.

Now this feels like football season!!! Don't mince words . . . tell us how butthurt you really are!!

Not in several SEC stadiums.

That would really cut me deep if I were a fan of the Atlanta Falcons.

It doesn't but that's not my point. My point is I feel like I'm watching a 6A High School baseball game when I go to a college game. They still use aluminum bats for crying out loud.

Your fanbase is a joke. You'll shite on baseball while packing the house for a softball game which is virtually the same fricking sport.

And you'll pack your coliseum for a goddamn gymnastics match. I watched the LSU Bama gymnastics matchup and your arena was literally full. They were grown arse dudes shirtless and painted for GYMNASTICS. A sport in which your fate is in the hands of a judge and his/her's score.

I don't mind if you don't like baseball. But why shite on it? Is it that the rest of us SEC fans grew up getting baseballs and bats for Christmas and Alabama fans grew up getting softballs and leotards?

Either way. You said the reason you didn't care about college baseball was because they probably wouldn't be able to compete with professionals.

So why should you care about college football?

alabama sucks at baseball therefore I don't care.

Better yet, don't start threads about how you don't care about college baseball.

It is boring as frick, I would rather watch a demonstration at Sherwin Williams. Plus all the players worth a shite get drafted right out of high school anyway.

There's a reason It's hardly on tv.
