The truth about the Lonestar Network was Byrne said he didn't think it was feasible. The truth is that you were too poor to front the money to get it off the ground without giving up more ownership to Texas, which you didn't want to do.

SWC died because 8 of 9 teams were from Texas. Texas, Arkansas, Texas A&M and 6 Vanderbilts. It died because no one would watch the games on TV in the TV era.

I'm not admitting guilt. If people's logic is "Texas kills everything it touches," then I'm saying Texas A&M was touching all of those things too.
But I'm definitely eager to hear how Texas destroyed the SWC while poor old innocent Texas A&M just stood by and watched.

Your argument is that Texas destroyed the Big 12 by pursuing a merger of the Big 12 South with the Pac10 at the same time Nebraska had announced its B1G move and with Missouri openly begging for a B1G invite?
