I’d like to think I’m different than majority of the fans I come across on here. Are all SEC fan bases full of negativity and hate or is this just an LSU thing? Somethings wrong with these people. It’s like they want LSU to fail no matter what

Once a part of the fan base isnt confident in their head coach, they will pull for the coach to be fired, which means they have to hope their own team fails. Ogre better win soon, or its gonna spiral.

I was that way with Bill curry. Not sure why but just couldn't stand the bastsrd. When we lost, oh well.

OP may take some heat but he’s right. LSU fans, when talking amongst each other, are the most negative bunch.
I try to stay positive but it even rubs off on me sometimes. It’s not just a Rant thing, I see it at games and here it amongst friends. The only sport where optimism seems to be more common is baseball.

Are you basing your experience on IRL interactions or Tiger Droppings?
Homer boards like TD tend to ride emotional waves and circle jerk to an extreme, when things are good the sunshine pumping can be unbearable and when things are bad the negativity can be overwhelming. TD is just responding like most homer boards.

The Carolina free boards are some of the most homeristic boards I've ever seen. That's why I was shocked to see the majority of you that posted on here being very reasonable about expectations, etc. I literally was banned for more than 15 years from FGF for simply stating before the season started in 2002, that it was a gigantic stretch to think Corey Jenkins was gonna win the Heisman when he backed up Petty the year before. Lou had everyone believing back then and I wasn't knocking your teams ability to win. Just the idea that Jenkins would morph into even all american in one year was a little out there. But it was absolutely believed by half the posters over there it seemed.

Many of us are Cockytalk refugees or just emigrants. That site is cancer and they ban for almost anything. It's run like a personal fiefdom by the geriatric site owner.

SEC fans can be arrogant, confident and cocky. For good reason! I also post on the Southern Pigskin website. It is pretty much all Clemson fans posting now. They tear into SEC fan posts and seems all of the ACC football fans despise the SEC. My personal opinion is I want all the SEC teams to be successful except Florida or playing against my team. I may have to hope we get some help from other teams in order to win the East as I did in the past. For the most part, I want the SEC to dominate in the bowl games. If Florida never wins another football game ever, I would be happy.
