For rivals like Auburn, GT or Florida, a loss is a big deal simply because it's to a rival. Bama isn't that.
Losing to Bama in the playoffs hurts. I remember that in 2017. But if it had been another team it would have felt just as bad. Beating Bama to win a national title felt great. But it felt just as good when we took TCU to the woodshed.
Neither game against Bama this year has meant much. If we face a third time... it will. But there isn't any kind of fixation with beating bama for UGA. We just want to make it to the playoff and then win it.
I don't mind Georgia, I'm just having a bit of fun trash talking.
But you have kind of replaced Florida as our SECCG rival.

Sometimes the ifs are "if they do this well instead of the things we've seen them do over the past several games" and sometimes the "ifs" are "well if the other team suddenly stops doing what they've done well over the past games". There was s a vast difference there but sure, we play the games for a reason

Yeah. Then, we watched and saw what everyone else saw. BAMA going for it on 4th and 2 from their own 14 and everyone that isn't a retard knew that BAMA was already in no matter what.
That game didn't matter. Celebrate. Enjoy it. I would too if I was 2-10 vs a team. If you played nothing but BAMA you'd be Arky. 2-10.

You are kind of splitting hairs here. UGA has become a powerhouse, and Bama has dropped off. We essentially switched places.

I don’t know for sure but there’s more than one issue at play:
- He’s playing through an injury. Pain can impact someone both mentally and physically.
- He’s a very high strung, emotional, and anxious individual. It was reported he has in the past struggled with anxiety. You can see it on his face during games where he has the “deer in the headlights” facial expression.
-SEC coaches figured him out halfway through the season. Before, there wasn’t enough tape.
For example, in the offense, he audibles a lot and defenses are adjusting post snap which gets him confused. He holds the ball too long resulting in sacks, incompletions, ints.
- OL play has been spotty but overall he’s had time to throw in most games. Pass blocking is not too bad but run blocking has not been up to par. A better run game could help him but Bama is a pass first offense.
RBs are below average. All of them miss key blocks, none have any explosiveness, or great vision seeing the running lanes.
- Ty was never really good at throwing the deep ball. It’s his kryptonite for sure. Other than the SECG. He’s had receivers open deep where he either underthrows, or most of the time overthrows.
He’s missed guys where DBs were not even within 5 yards of the receiver. Teams know this is a glaring weakness and they sit on short and intermediate routes.

Our not so great still means owning a sizeable winning record against UGA. Y'all UGA fans put waaaay too much into one game. Just like you did when you beat us in the national title game. It was the END of Alabama and you owned us going forward. Obviously that didn't happen just like it's not going ot happen now. Don't overdrive your headlights, you'll wreck.

Like they say in stocks...past returns are no guarantee of future performance. It is less that you lost and more how you lost. And the fact that it wasn't the first time it had happened this season. This ain't the Bama of old no matter how many times you guys throw up results from the Obama Administration. You haven't figured out the current era of the sport.
