Why would LSU want to remain a member of the SEC if LSU is not free to manage its athletic department the way they think is best? Seriously. I know it'd be a massive financial hit to just drag up but damned if I would want to be in a club that was threatening to toss me out.

I think a massive amount of what's going on has to do with Lane Kiffin and his history of embarrassing the SEC by leaving schools in less than ideal circumstances. No one other than Kiffin's current program likes the bastard, he is not a great head coach and he is nothing but trouble. People will claim to like him because he stirs up shite but they don't like him, they like chaos.

All that being said he is a LSU legend at the moment and the conference is threatening to boot LSU out. LSU ought to call their bluff. I am being serious....it would either put a stop to the foolishness and we could get on with the complete and utter destruction of any regulation in CFB or LSU would go to another conference and that destruction will continue unfettered.

And here’s the crux of the issue for LSU when trying to compare these other schools who are using former pros. Those injunctions were sought against the NCAA…..not the SEC.

LSU already called their bluff.

And, now the SEC is trying to figure out what its next move is. It ran out of time and submitted a response to its own lawsuit that didn't do anything different. It basically has maintained its same flawed position. The alternative was to drop the suit. But, it doesn't seem able to cut its losses and take the embarrassment.

So, LSU is going to respond and the court is very likely to dismiss this case. The SEC will try and win the PR campaign when this happens. It will use its minions in media to push another narrative like it did originally.

Tell us, what is the SEC seeking in the lawsuit?

1) Authority for the SEC to govern itself- LSU responded to the lawsuit stating the SEC does have this authority.

2) An injunction to prevent LSU from interfering in SEC governance- LSU did not interfere and says it will not interfere. Hold your meetings and vote however you wish.

3) Confirm its ability to terminate LSU's membership under conference bylaws-- LSU responded in agreement that the SEC has that ability.

So tell me ballguy, what is it that the SEC is suing for that LSU has not already agreed they have the right to?

This case will be dismissed. It is moot.
