If Ole Miss had allowed Lane to coach the playoffs, they wouldn’t have done any better than what Golding got them. And deep down, you know this, man. Golding beat Kirby. Did Lane do that this season?

LK is a weirdo but can coach.
His mistake was the public nature of the coaching change. His tweeting, sending family to scout places out, etc. Other schools and coaches handled it like professionals.
