The BCS was supposed to be 1 (USC) vs 2 (LSU)...not 2 (LSU) vs 3 (Oklahoma).

Had Kansas State not beaten Oklahoma, they would have played USC and had a legitimate national championship.

They were so in love with OU back then. They couldn't do any wrong. LSU should have jumped USC in the AP after shutting OU's offense down and beating them.

No, they should have played USC in the Sugar Bowl and not Oklahoma.

The BCS treated a 28-point blowout the same as a triple overtime road loss (USC lost in 3OT to Cal).

A Cal team that had Aaron Rodgers as the starter for that game (though he left the game injured, having staked Cal to a 21-7 lead.)
