Does the Tide secondary start a walk-on, or not?

No walk-ons or freshmen. Just 2 first time starters and a JUCO transfer. There is no depth, but if the starters stay healthy it will be a solid unit this year.

My mistake then, I had heard somewhere that the Tide had a former walk on at safety.

Still, that's a lot of inexperience in the secondary. If the Lion QB has any time to pass...TBD...than it's even steven as far as experience goes between him and your secondary.

.Bama wins by 3 TD's

Bama will be ahead for most of the game, then pull away near the end ultimately winning by 10-14

I dunno why, but I just can't get excited about this game

I like bama to win but i don't expect a lsu/va tech type mismatch... it's just rare for a quality team to get destroyed like that

granted it's early in the season to really know how good either bama or PSU will be anyway

you are wrong I really thimk Penn ST is gonna keep this game close and have an opportunity to win. I will gladly eat crow if I am wrong but Penn ST is getting no respect from anyone similar to UNC before they played LSU.

I can 100% assure you a phantom holding call will not bring back a bama touchdown

Bama will probably crush an overrated Penn State team...I'd go big on that -13 spread

I disagree. I know we should win big, but this will be a close game, for whatever reason.

Penn State is about to find out that bringing a true freshman QB to an SEC stadium is not a recipe for success. Bama by 28+

I think as the home team you don't want to get over-confident when another good team comes in and then look like an idiot later on, but I think that the Tide wins pretty convincingly. The D is inexperienced, but extremely talented, so nothing to worry about I say.

Well we really don't know what to expect from their true freshman QB...However, playing on the road for the first time in T-town is going to be tough. I agree it will be interesting to see how he does against a young bama defense

Bama is the defending champs with almost all their players back playing at home. Penn State is at best the 4th team in the Big 10, lost many players and is starting a true freshman at QB. No way they should even be able to compete.

This would have been a much better game last year imo.

I haven't heard that phrase in a long time. It's true though, we got a patch-work secondary, thank God we've got a strong coach working them.

It will be a huge feat for PSU to beat Alabama. Freshman QB. Loss of some studs on D. OLine that is said to be struggling but yet is experienced. They do have a couple of good RBs though.

PSU is widely considered to be about the 5th best team in the Big Ten this year behind OSU/Iowa/Wisky/MSU
