If you have to put sauce on your BBQ then you're doing it wrong.

Guess not. Sorry I'm not well-versed in Yankee food. All the food I've had up north was bland and needed salt and pepper.

Had BBQ in North Carolina.

Was pissed.

What's sad is that in the south today the a lot of black people don't live in much better conditions than they did then. They just get free food and shelter from the Gov't without having to do work is the only difference.

If you buy shitty sauce from the store to put on your BBQ then you're doing it wrong.

If you make your own sauce, you're doing it right.

Didn't the pussy Yankees win the civil war?

It was embarrassing how long it took them to defeat the South given the gigantic advantages that they had. Virtually unlimited manpower, vast industrial development, and they could barely contain a bunch of brave Southern men.

We may argue, but he makes a damn good point.

Memphis bbq sauce. F that. Colonel Sanders is rolling in his grave at the thought.

(Yes Colonel Sanders is from Missouri)

Does he? I mentioned Texas brisket and he mentioned BBQ sauce. Which makes me realize, yet again, he's never been to The Lone Star State.

I agree with this. Though I have found a few private-label sauces at some speciality places that I like.

A good made-from-scratch sauce is best though.

I was in DFW making a connection last year and saw a sigh that said a place was one of the "50 Best BBQ Joints In Texas."

Made me realize that Texas is just fricking huge and had a lot of BBQ joints if top 50 is something to advertise to get people to stop by.

Southern women are prettier. I probably didn't even need to say that but some butt nuggets from mizzouri think if you toast ravioli it's better than southern cooking. I just can't believe some of this stuff, y'all also thought you were good at sports.
