Only people who DON'T follow LSU football know that LSU had their first game of the year cancelled because of lightening. This is the reason why LSU is 8-3 and not 9-3 and NOT looking for that 10 win season if they win their bowl game against TT. That 10 win season always sounds good for those that love LESLIE MILES. Anyways... if you project Leonard Fournettes stats for the McNeese game and add that to his already impressive stats for the year it comes out to 2027 ALL PURPOSE YARDS. Here are his 2015 stats and the projection before and after the McNeese game was added........

BEFORE:
RUSHING: 1741 YARDS
RECEIVING YARDS: 209 YARDS
---------------
TOTAL YARDS: 1950

AFTER:
RUSHING: add 158 avg. 158 YARDS
RECEIVING YARDS: add 19 YARDS
--------------
TOTAL YARDS ADDED: 177

TOTAL ALL PURPOSE YARDS = 2027

Isn't it strange when you go over 2000 all purpose yards that people take notice? It's kinda like a 10 win season. Well neither one happened this year but I can guarantee you one thing. When the Heisman trophy finalists are talked about next year, they will mention the "McNeese game" that wasnt't ever played and how awesome a back that LF7 really is. We as Tiger fans know. Everyone else will really know next year.

L5U fans predicted similar Buga stats against Bama this year also. How'd that turn out again?

We don't give the ball to one running back 40-45 times a game. In Louisiana the ACLU calls this type of action borderline slavery.

I know how good the guy is. He's a phenom. But he was essentially kept on lock down by the best defenses he played 3 weeks in a row, and he had his stats padded by the 3 cupcakes he faced. Not our fault.

Don't care.

Maybe not, but you boys damn sure don't mind giving him the ball 26 times against the 3 worst teams on your schedule.

Derrick Henry got 9 carries and played for one quarter against Charleston Southern.

Still mad about this:

Here's the MAIN thing that cost LF7 the Heisman:

19 carries 31 yards

If LF7 goes for 100 yards against Alabama, he likely still goes to NYC and wins the Heisman. Heck, maybe 80 to 90 and he still goes.

But he and LSU choked.

If Chubb comes back his old self (big IF) LF7 will have stiff competition next season for the Heisman.

LF carried 78 times for 627 yards (36% of total rushing yards) against LSU's 2 non power 5 OCC opponents and Syracuse.
Henry carries 40 times for 216 yards (10.9% of total rushing yards) against Bama's 3 non power 5 OCC opponents.
No one thinks LF isn't special but he did pad his numbers more than Henry did.
