If it were so damn easy, then don't you think Bama's biggest rivals would have us under investigation TODAY? Every other fricking thread re-hashes shite about Dodge Chargers, T-Town Menswear, Flucker's western union receipts, fishing trips, etc.....

Of course it's bad. It's a house of cards and Ole Miss is but one room. Sankey isn't having a great couple of years on the job.

It more or less happened with Albert Means in the 2000s. Houston Nutt and Phil Fulmer played a large part driving that investigation.

What? Mike Slive was in office when your NCAA colonoscopy commenced. Sankey is impotent but there is nothing Slive could have done any differently when faced with the mountains of Level 1 violations.

When Mike Slive came in as commissioner, he made it clear that as a conference we weren't going to rat on each other. This case makes it appear Sankey might not have the same mentality.

Dominos may start to fall. All this is purely speculation, but I think this might be a bad sign.

Everybody in the SEC cheats. If you don't cheat you stand no chance of being competitive.

Problem is some schools are better at it than others.

This is what all the other conferences want, bring the sec down notches. Wonder why Saban didn't let his guys be interviewed by NCAA? Smart man Here we go gents!

The only thing coming is a ban hammer for Ole Miss

Ole Miss is trying to bring everybody down with them. It's includes but not limited to State, Alabama and Auburn. I figure that more schools are on that list. I don't think Lewis approached the NCAA. The NCAA asked Lewis some questions and he answered truthfully.

It's cute, in a morbid sort of way, that Ole Miss thinks that they will still be SEC Members-in-Good-Standing. Nobody is going to listen to the baseless, spiteful complaints of convicts. Ole Miss will be wearing the Scarlet (crimson?) letter of Cheater.

Do your time and stfu.

He said it should go up the chain of command. Meaning if you hear something, tell the SEC first. not, dont "rat on each other"

This is a completely different scenario, this is already at the NCAA level

Indeed. Nobody likes Ole Miss as it is and as for I'm concerned they can go to the SWAC.

I don't like the snitching either but from my understanding, he had no choice. The NCAA came to Lewis with the allegation that he had excepted benefits to attend OM. This info supposedly came from a former OM staffer who sung like a bird. Lewis was advised that if, during the course of the investigation any evidence was proven he had excepted benefits from OM that it could very possibly effect his eligibility status. I don't blame him now for taking what was offered by the NCAA. Sure enough OM supposedly secretly recorded him and his mom. Now, OM folks will say they recorded Lewis because they knew he was a plant for MSU, lololol. Come on man, if you actually believed that then why would you give the guy 15 grand??

Where does Bo Scarborough fit in this? I know Ole Miss bought the Auburn player a hunting trip and gave Lewis 15k.

Well the spiteful complaints of the the second most cheating program is what has led us to this point. I don't know what happens from here but your hubris matches ours if you honestly think there's nothing for you to worry about.

Do you think Ole Miss is the first school that feels scorned by the NCAA? How many times in the past has a school been able to "take everyone down with them".

You can look at history and see that coaches and ADs seldom survive the LOIC. You can also see that most universities are willing to bite the bullet of NCAA punishment rather than spit in the face of every other university administration.

As hard as it may be for you to believe, there are much larger factors at play for these people than a single athletic team. 5 years of mediocre-to-bad football is a small price to pay compared to pissing off all of your peers just to appease your disgruntled fanbase.

Paying a rival's player to lie about getting illegal benefits was a thing at one time too.
