Well the only pay4play in the whole damn thing is from a testimony that right now looks shaky at best. I think we will be alright.

Like what?

Tunsil's step dad asking for $800?

An FCA leader driving 2 kids from Memphis to a couple of games and buying them lunch and dinner?

A dealership in town giving a loaner car while a player had his car worked on and letting him keep it for like 2 months?

Or a player using a coaches hunting land?

Or my favorite, a player sleeping on a coaches couch.

So terrible isn't it.
I'm sure you're right. This is all a big misunderstanding. Freeze is fine and there will be nothing more to worry about. You'll serve your self-imposed penalties and that's the end of it.

I know I feel much better after the OM faithful more clearly explained the whole misunderstanding.
Just a small bump in the road.

We all owe OM a sincere apology.

The only thing people see is the number of infractions. Details aren't really a big deal.

Well that point of view makes for an interesting afternoon of arguments that would normally consist of my being bored as hell.

This is the SECrant right?

I figure the NCAA will take our self-imposed suspensions and add a bit more to save face.

Save face? You talking bout ole miss or the NCAA? I hope you are not talking about the NCAA trying to save face in this.

The sooner you recognize the self imposed sanctions is just the appetizer before the meal arrives.. the less your eventual melt will be.

Oh so you are one of the people who can't look at facts and make up your own mind. You have to listen to other people because you can't make logical choices. Got it.

The stories don't sound that different to me. A wad of cash versus a bag, and the booster contacting him first versus him contacting the booster.

You keep alluding to the notion that everything in the response is 100% true. So theoretically, you're listening to the opinions of your university. Those opionions are suspect given the history if this investigation.

Actually I don't remember much from the 2nd half of last season. When you find out that your OC and DC don't give a shite anymore because they're about to be fired, you really don't give a shite anymore either.

So congrats. I honestly couldn't tell you what happened in that game.

Ole Miss is getting off easy no matter what the NCAA hits them with.

When Freeze got to Ole Miss they threw the rulebook out the window and basically did whatever they wanted to in recruiting and dared anyone to turn them in.

Only a idiot would believe Freeze didn't know what was going on. Freeze knew he couldn't win without elite players and the only way to get enough elite players in Oxford to compete in the SEC, was to throw a ton of money at them.

Well the difference in previous responses by the OM is it was damage control.

It is too late for that. If these people don't have the information they are saying then they will all be fired. Why would they lie with their jobs and families livelihoods are on the line?

I guess we will find out in 3 months.

This is against NCAA policy that the member institution gets to be in the interview and cross question.

That defense will not work. Phillip Fulmer was a secret witness against Alabama. The NCAA can do what they want because Ole Miss agreed to allow them to dispense penalties any way they deem appropriate for any reason they feel is appropriate.
The same agreement every NCAA governed school agreed to abide by. It has nothing to do with the legal system.

It's like your daughter coming home drunk without any panties telling you after being grounded... "that's so unfair, you can't prove I did anything wrong"!

Every charger players drive around in has paperwork on file with the school to show they or their fambly received said vehicle using proper means. Just like every school.
(some are not brand new) or even chargers. dumbass

Well, he was getting the oil changed in his car and was given that loaner for the time being (which happened to take two months ). The dealership in question was approached by the NCAA to turn over their records for the loaner. The dealership refused, the NCAA went to Ole Miss and Ole Miss made the dealership turn over all records of the loaner vehicle. After those records were given to the NCAA, the owner of the dealership was disassociated for 2 years.
