Would you accept making the final four once a decade if it meant your football team would finish each year in the top 15?
If not, what compromise would you accept?

Interesting question for them. They do have a nice football stadium, and I know they'd get great support if they started winning in football considering their basketball following.

Right.
I know they're dumping 9 figures into their renovations. So they care about winning.
But we're talking UK basketball here. This trade takes them from probably the first or second best basketball program to somewhere around the tenth (or a little lower).

If you love bleachers and soviet style architecture... then yeah... looks nice.

That's an interesting question. I think they would probably accept if you had said make a final four 2 times a decade to finish in the top 25 every year.

Um their stadium is nice considering the support they get for the football program. It's sure as hell not a dump.

I originally had one final four a decade to earn a perennial top 25 finish in football. But I decided there's no way. They're not getting enough to give up such a powerful basketball brand.
I think the question as posed might be close. It basically gives them top 15 programs in the two most important sports. But while that seems like a really good deal for most, it's probably difficult for the top dog to cede its position for any price.
So do you want two really good athletic programs or do you want one that's probably the best? Their history in basketball makes it a tough call.

Not a dump. I agree.
Dumps have more character than Commonwealth Stadium.
If Death Valley is a bowl of gumbo... Commonwealth is a spoonful of mayonnaise.

Do you think you're in the minority? Your reasoning (football first love) at least has to be.

No. I wouldn't trade any successes. I enjoy UK Basketball as much as UK Football.
No there's a few others. You asked during our biggest home game of the year.

Never once said it was... Commonwealth looks like an apartment block from '70s Minsk... you know this.

This is from an LSU fans perspective... but that little cardinal by my name seems to rustle a shite-ton of jimmies.
