The one that strikes me immediately is LSU at 126.
As a Gamecock fan having Georgia, South Carolina and Clemson all three at 56 is important. SC has been way behind the past two seasons. Still not great for SC ... but better. These are the two teams favored over SC in the preseason.
Some other noteables on this list ...
I see why Miss State at 9 is receiving a lot of hype.
Bama, at 31 and with their talent, is dangerous as always.
A&M at 108 is surprising.
Auburn at 95 says, to me, that they are loaded with a lot of young talent.
From Phil Steele ...

To formulate a point system, I awarded 3 points for every senior starter (2.5 for every additional senior in the two deep) 2 points for every junior starter (1.5 for every additional junior in the two deep) 1 point for a sophomore starter (0.5 for every additional soph in the two deep) then subtracted 1 point for every frosh starter and .5 for every frosh in the two deep. The total points column uses that formula to figure out the points awarded to a team. The number before the team is where they came up in my overall ranking of all the teams in the NCAA. This list was compiled during magazine season and there have been some changes to the two deep since it went to press, which may not be accounted for. This chart will give you an idea of the most experienced and least experienced teams in the NCAA this year.

If I am not mistaken they were around 40 last year. So they are actually more experienced this year than last.
That is incorrect.
I'm looking for my copy of last year's Phil Steele magazine, but Bama was in the 40s last year.
SC was 128 last year.
Georgia was in the 40s too.
Clemson was in the 40s.
Those are the three I always make sure to note. Bama I noted because they actually were not the most experienced team in the conference last year ... Vandy was. Vandy usually is because they have little to no players who enter the draft early and they are often loaded with 40%+ JRs and SRs.

You're not comparing apples to oranges.
The magazine has two different ratings.
You're looking at the overall roster.
The one I posted in the OP is strictly 2-deep.
Two different ratings.
ETA: I see you already caught that.
