Current SOS

Keep in mind, LSU SOS will slide a bit while Kentucky’s will get harder with Florida, Auburn, Ole Miss and Tennesee on the schedule

My statement was correct. You can’t fill up your schedule with middling teams to up your opponent’s average KenPom and think that means anything. You played two quality opponents. No amount of cherry picking will change that. Y’all are a sensitive bunch. No one said you aren’t a good team. Just that your non-con schedule was weak. It was.

Who said I’m sensitive? I’m discussing basketball and presenting you with facts. You just didn’t like that I proved Kentucky’s non conference schedule to be weaker than LSU’s.

Even with your team playing Duke, North Carolina, and Kansas, it proves my data even more. If you take out LSU’s top 3 non conference opponents and take out Kentucky’s top 3, LSU still has a better strength of non conference opponents. It’s just facts. You may not like what the numbers portray, but that’s what the facts present buddy.

I’m not arguing your statement on that one, but old man dick is wrong and can’t take it. He said our non conference was trash, but according to my stats and the stats you just posted, LSU’s non conference opponents RPI, SOS, and KenPom are all better than Kentucky’s.

You’re inserting emotion where there is none. Your non-conference schedule was weak. No amount of narrative control is going to change that fact. I think if someone said LSU’s team colors are purple and gold y’all would accuse him of melting. For the second time, no one is saying you’re not a good basketball team.

How is Auburn that high, don't they have like 8 losses?

Who and where you win and lose matters, as does your margins.

All my little friends were hawks, but unlike olemandixon when life dealt me an L by sticking me with the district 5 losers, I pushed forward and just wanted to play hockey.

This is what makes you sensitive:

quote:

According to actual statistics, your comment is blatantly false as LSU’s opponents have a better combined opponent record AND a better KenPom ranking.

You didn’t make the case that your non-con was strong. You made the argument that it was better than Kentucky’s. I never said it was garbage compared to ours. I just said it was garbage. If you want to use those numbers to say ours was trash, more power to you. But since you compared the two, ask yourself which one any d-1 coach with a top 50 program would want to face.

I asked myself. My mind came up with an answer and said Kentucky since LSU is a better basketball team.

Which schedule, not which team. Although I’d love to hear their response to that one too.

Is KenPom a hybrid apple species or something? Don't care.

Auburn 16 (surprised)

Me too.

We're still surviving off of our pre-N.C. State schedule and results somehow.

They've all been close and only 1 would fall in the "bad" loss category, and all but 2 would fall in the "good loss" category.

You'd think a Kentucky fan would understand how these things work

You are one of a few that is discussing the topic.

I just provided a link that actually shows Kentucky to have a slightly better OOC schedule. I will add, LSUs conference schedule is much easier compared to Tennessee, Auburn, and Kentucky.
