I want no part of Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament.

I'd much prefer to be an 11 or 12 seed instead of an 8 or a 9. Or a 10 for that matter.

12 seeds tend to get lucky a lot.

True, but I'm looking more so at the difficulty of the first two matchups. It kinda sucks for an 8 seed, which is relatively high on the face of it, to be rewarded wiht a 1 seed in round 2. Even a 7 seed is going to have the pleasure of facing someone like bama or UF in round 2 lol. What a prize.
A lowly 12 seed gets a 5 then 4.
A 11 seed gets the 6 then 3.
Gimme one of those seeds any day over a 7 or 8.

Yes a 12 gets a 5, so you’ll likely lose in the first round.

Pitino vs Kentucky would be big, but if they cannot swing that, how about Pitino vs his best player at Iona (Walter Clayton) who chose to transfer to Florida instead of St. Johns?

Yeah, that would be interesting

Louisville vs Arkansas would be satisfying to watch. I don't even know who I'd root against.

56 wins in 26 trips. He averages a Sweet 16 every time he makes the tournament. We played them last year in the first round. Just would rather not see them in the first weekend, especially when he has a team that is a 2 seed.

End up in Indy which is the second-best region for us. Manageable path with a 1 seed we already beat.
I wouldn't complain/

This always gets the attention because 12s are normally the "best" of the mid majors. But here is the breakdown:
5s are 101-55 against 12s (.647)
6s are 95-61 against 11s (.609)
7s are 95-60 against 10s (.613)
9s are 81-75 against 8s (.519)
A 5 has NEVER won the tournament, but a 6, 7 and 8 have won it. A 12 has never made the Final Four, but an 11 has made it five times.

George, do you think it's possible Bama could either:
A. Work their way back to a 1 seed?
B. Work their way lower to a 3 seed?

Don't put us with Auburn. I don't think we can beat them. I think we can beat anyone else, but not them. I feel like we need to win both our games this week to maintain a 3 seed.
You never know when you get in the tourney and Auburn doesn't have SEC refs to bail them out. This really applies to Tennessee more than Auburn.

0% chance the drop to a 3.

I think we may get screwed and be the #2 seed in the west if we lose @Bama. I guess if we lose @Bama and TN loses @Ole Miss we could possibly get the #2 seed in the East.

Yeah, I agree but they're going to be an overrated 2 seed. I owuldn't be surprised to see them knocked out in Round 1 but I also wouldn't be surprised to see them make it the Elite 8. I don't think they advance out of the Elite 8 unless the 1 seed is upset, or they end up in the bracket with Houston as the 1 seed.

What 1 or 2 seed wants to see UConn in round 2?

I think yes to both. As always it also depends on what the other teams do.
