TAMU has been ranked #1 every year in College Station since 1907. Isn't that impressive?
Order the cups and painting.

Who did the Hogs lose to the next week?

How about last time your team wasn’t ranked #1 during a season. I’ll say 2007

That 2008 Bama at Georgia game was the catalyst for Bama’s upcoming success. It was a program changing win and one of my favorite regular season wins of the Saban era.

So wrong. You were ranked #13 and lost to BYU. You were #25 the following week and lost to SLU. Do you think people can’t google?
Bless your heart, you can’t read.
In 1996, the Sporting News (NOT THE AP) predicted us to win the Natty. And yes, we proceeded to lose to BYU out of the gate followed by one of our worse losses to ever to USL. It was the Aggiest season ever.

USL actually had Brandon Stokely and Jake Delhomme, overall they were not very good though

With that said, I don't know how in Hell Coach Bryant thought he could beat Oklahoma. But he guaranteed the Sugar Bowl folks that he would if invited (over Tennessee) and then went down there and did it!
A pennant from that game hung in my older brother's bedroom when I was a kid.
CSB I know but I hadn't thought of that for over fifty years.

Yeah I saw that when reading back on the debacle yesterday. Was surprising to see. It was one of our worst losses ever at the time. It also wasn’t televised back then. I remember listening to it with friends on the radio. Eight turnovers. Will never forget that tragedy.
We had stars too.. Dante Hall, Dat Nguyen, etc.. we had like 12 players drafted from that team too, some in ‘97, ‘98, ‘99.

Definitely their biggest FB win before the first bowl win in 2011. They shite talk ULM, but the Warhawks have two wins over teams that were in the SEC at the time (2007 and 12)

On a totally unrelated note, and yeah I’m sure people will make fun of me for saying this, but thanks for always being so nice to me on here.
You really know your stuff and I enjoy reading your posts and learning. And you do it in a kind way without being condescending.

It was 1995 and you lost two straight games to Colorado and Texas Tech (and then the last SWC game for the title against Texas).
You fell from AP 3 to 22 after the early losses.
