Manning had a negative impact on the game as a whole. His Colts teams inability to win against the big bad Patriots was the start of the pansy ball we see today.

I don't see it that close.

IMO Jordan is clearly the goat of the NBA and Peyton is a one of the best QBs of all time but not the clear best by any means. I think most would put him around top 3 or 5 in terms of QBs

Of course I can. Peyton is a top 3-5 player all-time at his position. Jordan is the greatest player of all time in his sport. There was a decade where Jordan won the NBA title every year in which he played a complete season.

Peyton Manning's basketball equivalent is Oscar Robertson. Put up great numbers, won a couple titles when he got a good team around him, and is top 3-5 all-time at his position.

An NBA roster has literally a 5th the amount of players as an NFL Roster. Of course there are less players in basketball that stood out over time. Peyton was a top 10 player in the NFL for probably 80% of his NFL seasons. At each NFL season there is maybe 10 guys who can play QB exceptionally well and he was always one of them. 10 guys in the WORLD that can do the job well enough to satisfy all the fans. Owns records upon records. In Jordan's years with the Bulls half his teammates were perrenial all stars. So you argument about only winning with good teams is meh

Jordan was THE greatest player in the NBA in every year in which he played from around 1988 to 1998, and it wasn't even particularly close. I can write out his list of accomplishments if you like; but it's going to take awhile to do if you want me to do it.

You don't know what you're talking about. Scottie Pippen was the only player that Michael Jordan played with that was a perennial all-star. Horace Grant made it in 93-94 as a replacement selection and BJ Armstrong made it once in the same year. 93-94 was the first year Jordan was retired for the first time.

Did Jordan win with good teams? Absolutely. He also won the title in every year he played a complete season in the 90's and never lost in the NBA Finals, and was also the best player in every NBA Finals series in which he played. Compare Peyton to other quarterbacks. No one in any team sport in the modern era is going to compare favorably to MJ. (Edit: Aside from Gretzky; but hockey isn't my sport so I wouldn't be able to do a good comparison.)
