I'll say the same thing here, I said in the other ND thread.
In Notre Dame's defense, they recently spent 12 years with a coach more overrated than their program.
They lucked up and unloaded him on LSU.

I don't believe in Freeman, even though he has clearly out-recruited Brian Kelly. I believe you need to at least be in the playoff mix regularly to set yourself up as elite these days. Being Independent won't make this easier in the future.
