These aren't necessarily football people making these offers. Desperate boosters do stupid things with their money. And tend to try to ruin things for everyone as they do it.

Glad he stayed at USC. Sellers and Kyle Kennard were among my favorite non-LSU players last season.

I think the biggest thing is this. He’s being projected as top 10 for next year. Even if so, he’s not trying to play two years when his signing bonus will be more than the $4 million for that second year. Plus get to the league and possibly that second contract a year earlier.

So ONE person (dad) makes a claim that his son was offered $8M, and gets his son’s name to go viral and drives up his sons perceived value.
