Why do Florida AD and Florida fans think Kiffin can get it over the hump to beat a top ranked team as the Florida HC?

Because UF has a more talented roster

I tell Auburn fans all the time imagine how much more enjoyable life would have been for you following Alabama instead of Auburn. 99% say you are right and blame their parents mistake.

Coach Ed "Wild Boys" Orgeron certainly improved after leaving Ole Miss.

Lol incredibly stupid….under the current format Lane has already made the Playoffs twice in Oxford. But suddenly a random road game against Oklahoma will tell all lol….never realized just how dumb Florida fans are.

The only playoffs Lane has made is for the C-USA championship.

What’s record? Glad some tub-a-lubs on the internet pretending to know football made you feel good in preseason

Idiot coaches waste talent all the time bro.

Facts are facts, UF has more team talent than OM does and its not close .

You do understand in recruiting you may pull out of state kids here n there but overall your team is made up of in state kids.
UF has much more to choose from in a state whose talent pool dwarfs MS

Oh yeah bc college football hasn't changed at all in recent years. How many games has LSU won since 2020? Why have we won more? It is a new era. Look at the top 10 today. You either A) live under a rock or B) refuse to accept the reality that the sport has changed and schools that are not historically considered "blue bloods" have just as good a shot to win big or C) both.

Ole Miss — like every other program winning consistently right now — prioritizes the transfer portal far more than high school recruiting. They take their swings at elite high school talent, recruit players they believe can develop, and then fill specific needs through the portal.

Just look at the current roster. Kewan Lacy? Ole Miss finished second to Missouri for him two years ago — now he’s the primary back and arguably the most important player on offense. Caleb Odom? They finished second to Alabama, and he’s seeing more and more meaningful snaps each week.

High school recruiting just isn’t what it used to be. It’s no wonder some of you are confused about why your team has struggled in this era — you’re still operating with a mindset from 25 years ago.

THE ONLY REASON Hugh had success in the SEC was his type of offense was very new to college football, especially the SEC. At the time most SEC defenses were built to stop run heavy teams and not the then up and coming hurry up no huddle offenses. College football has made adjustments to those type of offenses and now Hugh is having to coach on a level playing field and he's being exposed.

Easy, no confusion. Our HC was an idiot.

UF still beat OM last season. How did that happen??

Because access and opportunity have changed.

Ten years ago, non–blue bloods couldn’t even get close. Now they can.

Washington played for the title.

TCU made it the year before.

Cincinnati made the playoff.

Indiana (yes, INDIANA) made the playoff (currently undefeated as well).

SMU (yes, SMU) made the playoff.

If the 12 team playoff began in 2021, Ole Miss and Missouri would already have 2 appearances.

I can keep going if you want.

That alone proves the door is open — something that was impossible under the old system.

Baugh is right there with him, averages more ypc but less carries, again because Billy was an idiot.

Have you not seen Dallas WIlson? We have a very good young WR corps
Again, our HC was an idiot

Because the coach you want to hire decided to play a walk-on undersized wide receiver at running back and managed to lose three games with a $20mil roster and 8 NFL draft picks. Last year was 100% on coaching. Lane has pretty much said as much during preseason press conferences.
