Interesting that you say this…

Not really.

Once the March Madness field is announced, there is a segment on every sports talk show about who got "snubbed". Those talking heads seldom indicate which team should have got the boot.

The bottom line is that if you don't win your conference championship, you are at the mercy of the committee. The committee, like all committees, are political and considerations for issues like viewership and equal representation cloud the decision making process. Those that feel "snubbed" will invariably whine. And let's not pretend that Lane doesn't have a history of whining.

It is interesting……considering how you’re speaking against someone voicing their disapproval.

This all tells me you’re reacting based upon an OP title and not the actual words spoken by Lane.

That’s ok. It’s pretty common in this board for people to post out of complete ignorance.

Im tired of this BS talking point that is 100% based on jealousy and trolling and not based in any kind of logic. Its cutting your nose off to spite your face.

Playing Kentucky when your surrounding games are NC State, Boston College, Duke, Georgia Tech, Syracuse is completely different than when your schedule is full of SEC teams.

Why are we pretending these games happen in a vacuum? Your starters get worn down physically playing intense games against great competition. This is both fatigue of body AND nervous system.

There are no easy games, even Kentucky. Alabama also proved this. You have to factor in the entire season and Kiffin is right, in the SEC, you are playing against better players every game.

Troll all you want to...but dont cry or expect sympathy when YOUR team is getting the boot for the ACC team that played a charmin soft schedule

And YES Ole Miss would have kicked the arse of half the field. How can you say that the playoff is optimal, when that is true?

It’s a completely logical argument. It’s funny a Gump is melting down over it for some reason.

teams losing by 5 TDs typically do this at the end of games. The team up by 5 TDs typically tries to run out the clock. This isn't some novel idea in football
If teams don’t want the score run up on them, maybe stop trying to score

This thread is full of “literally how dare you”’s and somehow…..a vague reference to hitler and the nazis. Still trying to figure that one out.

Calling me ignorant doesn't further your case or cause.

And just stop. The notion that you are here on some altruistic mission to correct the injustices in the playoff selection process as highlighted by Prince Kiffin, Duke of Integria, is preposterous.

Lane whined and you are here defending him because you were left out and your team's bowl win feels like winning the NIT. Are you really going to try to convince the forum that Lane would have made these statements and you would be here defending him had Ole Miss been included?

Saban won the big games. So he got more leeway.

Lane hasn't won jack, but loves to talk big and tweet. He nor teams can back it up. So maybe win a conference title, hell just make the game. Then you can talk about levels. Because right now he is in charge of an average SEC team. That ain't much better than anyone else.

God, I wish we played you TU pussies this year.

You could have at least won your "NIT" bowl.

Kentucky was Ole Miss's first SEC game after playing Furman, MTSU, Wake, and Georgia Southern to open the season

Why so you could lose another game? You are what your record says you are! A mouthy bunch of bitches who finished 8th in the SEC.

Ok, then don't beg for retroactive style points when you run up the score in a meaningless bowl game against an average team playing without a QB

Huh?

I swear some of you are completely broken.

Also what position does that qb play on defense?

Fair point...but was Kentucky at that point the same caliber as Kentucky late in season?

Their defense was solid and our offense coordinator was too busy watching Bluey to call effective pass plays.

Kentucky already had 2 losses entering the game. Then, right after the Ole Miss win, they went on a 4 game losing streak and lost 6 of their last 7, so yeah pretty much.

Kentucky's wins were against 1-11 Southern Miss, 1-11 Murray St, Ohio....and Ole Miss. They were really really bad this year. There's just no way to spin Ole Miss losing to them as excusable. Their fans can't even disagree with that.

It was absolutely inexcusable.
