Its points per game, yards, and quality of competition. Bama still hasn't played a quality opponent, so there's no need in bumping this to brag again.

I would have never thought it would work, but the Kiffin hire looks like genius so far. Saban seems to truly like the guy, their relationship on the sideline seems extremely respectful. I guess the head coach knew what he was doing after all.

Is Ole Miss a quality opponent? Need to know for future reference.

So far - who in the West has played a "quality opponent"?

I just thought it was funny that people were arguing so much with stats after 2-3 games. One more game, and, amazing, the stats changed!

Offensively they're good and defensively they're average. Talent wise their starters are good but it drops off quickly after that. Bama should beat them on talent alone.

So Florida, Ole Miss and West Virginia are all non-quality opponents.

Ole Miss and Florida's defenses are not quality.

Sounds like this season should be a cakewalk offensively, cause I know Auburn, A&M and LSU's defenses aren't as good as Ole Miss and at best aren't much better than Florida's.

Loved all the football geniuses who told us what a bad hire Kiffin was and how he was going to run the program in the ground

Because some teams are starting to play teams that were good last year and haven't gave a reason to think they are bad now. Bama hasn't played a team to compare like that. Every team they have played won 6 or less games last year and hasnt wowed anyone so far. WVU is the closest one to wowing anyone but they played a team that got all their hype from beating Bama.

Florida's defense was #5 in America last year. They returned 9 starters off that defense. Alabama just put up more yards against them than anyone in their program's history.

If you want to act like that is just expected and nothing to be excited about, then have it, champ.

I note that WVU hung 30 something on OU last night.

And again a generally garbage team put up 450 yards on them the week before. So either UK is great too or UF's Defense isn't. It's more likely UF's D isn't good. But like I and many others have said it's too early to tell which.

You keep saying 450 yards. That's true and pretty good.

Alabama put up 200+ more yards than that. They set the all time record for yards against Florida.

Even if Florida's defense is just average..........that is damned impressive.

I said that that was the best team bama had to look at right now. But that shows OU's defense is worse than Bama's. Not that your offense is better. OU scored more than Bama. As did Maryland.

Last year means absolutely nothing. Florida is as quality as Arkansas. WVU is as quality as KState.

Last year is the whole reason teams that haven't lost are ranked where they are. At this point in Auburn's season last people were still not expecting them to make bowl because the year before. It has everything to with it until at least midseason.

Maybe so but that's not a compliment to UF.

Maybe so but again it doesn't prove that Bama's offense is as great as yall are trying to make it out to be. WVU is not a defensive team. They give up lots of points and yards to all 3 FBS schools they played and Bama scored the least.

It appeared against KSU Rhett Lashlee didn't do a damn thing.

Sure looked like Gus has total control over the O.

Had more yards than any of them.

OU had a KO return for a TD and Maryland had a punt return for a TD.

Only because Bama ran more plays. Both averaged more yards a play. Which means on any given play their offenses are better. But you're wasting your time trying to convince anyone Bama's offense is great until they play a defense that is proven.
