I actually feel for Ole Miss. They are in the thick of the CFP/SECCG hunt. This is exactly the kind of distraction that caused Liberty to come apart at the seams in 2022. We were at 8–1 at the time and proceeded to lose the final three regular season games and our bowl game.

He's already potentially getting almost $12 million this year w/ bonuses with a base of $9 million at Ole Miss.
These aren't Earth shattering numbers this day and age considering what a good QB goes for now.

Where money could come into play here is not his salary. It'll be what kind of promises he can get on NIL and if Ole Miss can match THAT, not his salary.
