Lane? No he couldn’t. He’s seen by the majority of football (college and pro) as very immature and unreliable. Add in that he’s never won anything as a head coach… NFL isn’t calling him. Now if he can stay out of trouble at LSU and field a respectable and scaleable product he might get a shot at a better program or the pros.

Big talk for a broke arse program. And LSU will never give Kiffin the respect of his peers, they just are not that level of program.

Be honest, Kiffin was a desperation hire.

Kiffin is already a failure at the highest level - considered one of the worst coaches in Raiders history. He’s a glorified OC like Sark. Neither has the first idea how to actually run a program

We just paid one guy $54m to walk away and $91m for the new guy.

LSU prints money.

And yet you didn’t pay him. Writing contracts you attempt to Welch on is the sign of a broke arse program.

Do you understand how contracts work?

We pay him monthly, and we have 6 years to do so.

No, we tried to negotiate down, and failed. Hence, why we agreed to pay the full buyout.

Are you stupid?

You lied about him not being fired and were too broke to fight him in court, had the state take up the case and they are forcing you to honor the contract.

Dude literally had to sue LSU to honor the contract. Do you understand how contracts work?

If LSU had money to fight this in court, it would still be in court.

Not too many better than LSU! It’s a top tier spot the rest is all subjective. I know for sure it ain’t Tennessee.

Kirby Smart
Dabo Swinney
Ryan Day

Those 3 coaches make up your list who've actually won something.

There is not another program that can offer anything to Lane that LSU currently does not offer. If he leaves it won't because of that.

This did not happen.

LSU has honored the contract throughout the entire process.
LSU (with BK’s blessing) tried to negotiate a lower lump sum payment and the two parties could not reach an agreement. BK sued as part of that negotiation. The “fired for cause” narrative was created by BK and his legal team.

Sigh, conference titles, built a sustainable program….

Why are LSU fans doing their best UGA fan impersonation?

How about a playoff berth? We still talking about that one time 7 years ago?
