He was a five star, but RT John Jerry is our best lineman.

The SEC is on a completely different level than Hargrave and High School. My guess is that Massie and Fluker will be too slow to handle the SEC speed rush this year. .

Not being a homer, but I'd bet that Anthony Oden is the better of the 3. He's 6'8 320 and runs like a 4.8 40. He moved to LT at Hargrave over Massie. This guy is a basketball player in a football uniform...Tons of athleticism

You get a big fat FAIL for that assumption. Like SC, Ole Miss doesn't have the best football history behind it.. but occasionally showing some signs of brilliance and knocking of some of the upper-tier teams will make our chests swell and proclaim "there is another player in the SEC" Ole Miss will learn as SC has that one good season does not equal another.

You may be right, but you might be crazy to not list them as the likely favorite to win the SEC WEST. That doesn't necessarily mean they will win it, but they are the favorite. Look, I don't like OM just as the next fella, just like they don't like LSU. But, they clearly have the easiest path to get to Atlanta out of the other teams in the West as mentioned earlier in the thread. Returning players + their schedule = favorite IMHO.

If LSU and OM traded schedules, I would say LSU.

Possible move to LT?
LT imo is much more of a vital position. Protecting Sneads backside should be a priority as much if not more than McElroy, due to bama relying heavily on the running game. Lets face it, if either teams loose the starter at qb, all bets are off.

Thay may be. But they are 2 teams they lost to last year (SC and Vandy) and no Vandy revenge game can be taken as an easy win (see SC '07-'08) Their 2 toughest opponents are indeed at home with 'Bama and LSU but those can go to either team. Yes they have those returning players BUT this time they can't "sneak-up" on anybody. Everyone will be ready and knows Ole Miss will be a tougher game than they assumed last year.

No. He's 350 pounds. We're a run-first team. Our team relies alot more on misderection than brute strength than your team does. We honestly don't need a left tackle as bad as most teams in the SEC do.

We had six turnovers agianst Vandy and 4 against SC.
I wouldn't count on that happening again if I'm a fan of either team.

Do it. Like you said, it's only five hours. Like five hours exactly for me coming from Dutchtown to Oxford. Short trip, and you get to dress up like a shark. I don't know how I could sell this any better.

I think the West is a toss-up between Bama, LSU, and Ole Miss.
Ole Miss catches both teams at home, and doesn't play Florida or Georgia from the east. LSU has to go on the road and play both games plus have to go play on the road at OM and Bama. Bama has to play GA i think, but only have to play Ole Miss in Oxford.
The schedule is the reason I think Ole Miss should win it next year.

FAIL...we play UF in DV this year, but I do think that OM has teh easiest road to the SECCG.

If I'm a coach in the SEC last year, my staff was on high alert after OM went into the Swamp and won. Any coach that watched that film and "didn't take OM seriously" needs to be fired and then drug out back and shot. It took everything Bama had to get by us and everything SC had plus some we gave you. We won the last 6 out of 8 DESPITE everybody's best game.
