So all this basically said was that his GF didnt make him go there, but that he went there b/c of her....
And that he admits to knowing long in advance that he was going to bama thus confirming all the "he lied to LSU coaches, reporters, recruiters, etc."
And yet he's still surprised for some reason that he got backlash....?

Obliviously Landon lead people on. Doesn't make it right for the backlash he's received.
It's obvious Saban hired his gf to "seal the deal" in signing Landon.
Reading her quotes were comical, but that's understandable seeing she has no idea how the real world works yet.
There is no perfect world in which LC expected everyone from Louisiana to pat him on the back and wish him the best with the way he toyed with people during the recruiting process. At the end of the day LC needs focus on playing football for bama and lighten up on the soap opera commentary.

He told me it was down to LSU and Alabama, and I told him I didn't want to develop more feelings for him if we were going to be at two different schools. ... He was like, I wouldn't be dating you if I was going to LSU. And that put a big smile across my face."
But wait, wait, wait...I've heard so many Alabama fans on here SWEAR that he didn't know where he was going the whole time and didn't string LSU along. How terrible his mother is for what she did to him on national TV, blah, blah.

Bama and Collins is a symbiotic relationship of lurid quality, much like Nick Saban's sphincter and Paul Finebaum's tongue.

Sounds like she wasn't surprised on air. Shameful the way she reacted.

When signing day came, she threatened not to sign the paperwork for Collins' letter of intent with Alabama.
quote:
"I was 2 minutes from ripping them up," she said. "I really wasn't going to sign them. He wasn't getting no signature from me. They double-teamed me, Landon and Gerald. They pinky swore that he'd do well in class and play hard. I said, 'Play hard or don't come home.' "
Quite a bit of time passes, and she still refused to respect his decision. A real shame her ego got in the way of what should have been a proud moment of her child getting a Div 1 scholarship and having the choice to go anywhere he wanted.

Your fanbase shits on kids for going to a different school. "He led the staff along!" So? That means you can shite all over their name and threaten em? What the frick does "judging someone from anywhere else" have to do with you being shitty human beings?
Goddamn you are a dumb Gump. You are on that higher level plane of dumb where you are too dumb to even understand your own stupidity if it's thrown in your face.
No one here used that dumb and complete bullshite argument that you use as your premise. No one said he should be threatened or whatever else because he led the staff on. He is not liked because he led the staff on. I've not heard anyone here endorse any of the garbage in that article, which of course even if entirely true would be indicative of an infinitesimal number of people.
You just want to bash LSU regardless of truth because you think it makes Alabama look better than a rival. Just like the Aggie dickrider who wants to compete with LSU for recruits and thus latches on to this nonsense as well. You might as well put "I'm a dumbass" in your sig, because that's basically the sign you are wearing based on your posts in this thread. Something tells me you probably wear that sign in your everyday life too.

Indeed, but he was hurt against LSU and didn't even play most of the game, so it wasn't anything your DBs did.
And he wasn't playing much until the Ole Miss game last year.
That said, if he is healthy, expect a 100 yard performance from him, but watch out for OJ Howard and Christion Jones. We have a lot more for them than we've shown this year, probably saving it for games like this. Don't be surprised to see OJ getting a lot of targets from his TE position.

SO what I have learned is that he has been hurt every game thus far.
Must be a good player......

Um, I know/agree with this.

I like LSU. Now Louisiana as a state...

I'm sorry you're having a bad day Dante. Saturday is gonna be a fun slate of games across the nation, win or lose, be happy.

Um, he can't help it if he gets hurt? He's been hurt this year, and was hurt vs State and LSU last year.

Calm down bro I am just clowning with you, but seriously, stop making excuses...
You cannot be "the best" and be hurt 80% of the time.......

Oh, so she was surprised right before he went on air? So he did in fact lie to his mother all along as well. What a great kid! His mother is awful and he is terrific because he chose Bama!
How dare she have a disappointed look on TV and speak her honest opinion when the reporter stuck the microphone in her face and asked her. Give me an f'ing break. You Gumps are completely overdramatic so long as it furthers your agenda of trashing people who don't endorse your program or school. God forbid this kid's MOTHER had a strong opinion about where her son went to school. How dare she...
Bama fans sure did have no problem smearing her though.

lol. Dude, stop. This is laughable. She didn't agree with his decision. Why are you Bama fans so butthurt that she didn't endorse Bama? Who fricking cares? You are only interested in bashing her because you feel she slighted your school.

Sure ya can, you just won't be the best 80% of the time. The other 20? Sure. That said, I didn't say Coop was the best WR in the country. He had an argument for it based on evaluation.

You Bama fans are insufferable.
Fantasy wishes.

Lying to your mom is horrible nowadays?
When I was in HS I told my mom I was a virgin, never drove faster than 70, and did my homework. Guess I'm a horrible person.

No one is upset that she was honest, but she has to support her son no matter what. She doesn't get to choose. It is up to him, not her, where he goes to school and it is her obligation to at the very least support him.

Pretty much this. I don't feel like she slighted us though, I feel like she slighted her son during his big moment.
Why make everything seem so angry man? We can discuss them and be happy.
