Dawn Staley has gotten an unfair reputation, due to misunderstandings about things she’s said in the past that were misconstrued by those who are unable to see nuance in her words. They take positive things she said about blacks and women as attacks against whites and men. Most of it comes from false accusations that happened with Missouri in 2018. Those were later investigated and proven false (And Mizzou's AD had to pay $25k because of it). Yes, she supported BLM, but she’s a Black woman speaking about equality and her own lived experience. Of course she's going to support BLM that doesn’t nessiceraly make her racist. When you look at her record, there’s zero evidence she’s promoting "hate" which is the definition of racism. She's often unfairly targeted because she's successful, outspoken, and advocates for black women.

Do I agree with everything Dawn says? No. Do I think she's "Racist"? Also no.
