Apparently Malzahn pushed to sign him. I think he'll end up on the DL though. Maybe H-back but he'd need to lose maybe 30 pounds.

Oh ok. Either will good in the short yardage game, Fowler is a little more highly touted though (not that that means a damn thing)

that was my thinking when it was first announced... and the fact Malzahn was in contact with Handley's HC makes one think offense...

It's really up to Phillips at this point as to what shape he reports to campus in.

We don't use a lot of fullback, at least we haven't under saban. I could see fowler being used at H back alot.
I really hope they don't make him an H-back. I could see Fowler being like Upchurch last year. Playing fullback on some downs and tailback on others. That's what I hope they'll do with him at least.

Did I really see an AU fan state that we use a fullback? We do use them, on special teams.

I went to high school with Fowler and I can tell you for myself that you don't want to just use him at fullback...I even think he could play some slot because he has great hands.

Putting a fullback in the slot..?

No you idiot that is not what I was insisting. He "could" play fullback. In high school he played slot, rb, and fb.

And what type of mismatch would a guy like that create? None.
