Y'all got a 7 seed so that you'd play Texas in the 2nd round. That's the only reason why.

Lack of respect for aggy doesnt equate to lack of respect for SEC. Hell we had a crappy season and still got an 8 seed so the respect for the conference is there

To some degree, I think this is habit, but I also think college basketball is the last bastion in college sports where northeastern sports figures have significant influence, and that weighs down leagues from the south and west.
The Big 10 got the same number of bids as the PAC12, Mountain West, and West Coast Conference combined. The Big 10 hasn't won a national title in 23 years.
