You return "meh"... And you're a clusterfrick at QB.

You're lucky to be ranked.

Florida athletics seem to do better as the underdog any way. Every time we get hyped up preseason, we lay an egg. Exception being the second of the back-to-back basketball teams.

Maybe the team is using it for motivation.

I'm not sure.

But I pretty much guarantee they are going to be much better than they were last year at the end of the year.

Anyone that thinks they will be just as bad or worse is just ignorant.

What part of I don't give a flying Fck about preseason polls did you miss? I think that was the OP's question.

By the way our QB situation will be much improved. Last year was a clusterfrick after Grier was suspended.

It basically comes down to this...

If Florida's QB play will be at Treon Harris levels, yeah, being ranked 25th is hilarious, because they won't beat anyone.

If Florida's QB play is going to be decent with Del Rio, then they can beat anyone, and everyone fricking knows it.

We'll use this years win in Knoxville as a springboard up the polls

Thanks in advance Vols!

shite QB, shite RB, decent OL, lost a lot on defense.

-QB is unknown.
-RB unit may be the most talented unit in the last 10 years. We will see if they can live up to the potential.
-OL looked worse last year because of Treon and his inability to see/read the field. They will be fine.
-We lost players in the secondary, but we still return Tabor and Wilson at corner, Duke Dawson looks legit as a nickel, return Maye at FS. The other safety position is my only concern. LB depth is a concern, but as long as Jarrad Davis stays healthy we will be fine. DL is stacked.

We are flying under the radar because of the Treon shite show.

Yeah, a name everyone will know very soon at LB is Alex Anzalone. The guy is finally healthy.

The defense also has a ton of DL depth, and future NFL players in Cece Jefferson and Caleb Brantley, not to mention at least 2 to 3 guys in the secondary and Davis at LB.

The idea that UF is somehow going to be really bad on defense is hilarious.

Oh and UF has a kicker now. People forget that too.

I'm not getting my hopes up on him, he reminds me of Matt Patchan.

Yep, and I re ally like Cox Jr. He quietly had the 2nd most TFL and 2nd most total tackles on our DL, behind Bullard. It'll be really difficult to run up the middle against us, but hopefully someone emerges as a solid edge rusher.

Wait, seriously? Is this some sort of hot take? I haven't seen anyone else say something similar to this about UF's running backs. Y'all had Kelvin Taylor and Matt Jones two years ago. That was a pretty dang solid combo.

The world doesn't revolve around UGA and especially UT.

I would if I were them. they always seem to come up with a good team. They will be solid this year. Not sure if they can beat Tennessee, but I thought UT would get them last year, too.

Plenty of guys on the roster still pissed about the screw job we got in Gainesville two years ago. Looking forward to watching UK derailing the McElwain train and ending the streak finally. Y'all barely squeezed by last year 14-9. Cats fittin'a eat.

Yes, our RB stable may be our standout group this year

You'll be hearing Jordan Cronkrite and Mark Thompson a lot this season

We either barely squeak by Kentucky or blow them out.

The Wildcats are not the perennial doormat they once were

The lack of knowledge about Florida's roster among posters on this board and national media members is astounding.

Florida got the #1 JUCO RB in the country- 6'3 238 lb Mark Thompson.

Florida's kicking game will be leaps and bounds better with the addition of the #1 JUCO Kicker in the country

Florida added 4 4 star or better wide receivers, including the #2 wide receiver in the country Tyrie Cleveland.

Florida returns all American Jalen Tabor and Quincy Wilson, both of whom have several interceptions and are considered one of the best DB duos in the country. As well as first team all American last year Marcus Maye.

Florida returns the best linebacker in the SEC Jarrad Davis plus Alex Anzalone.

Floridas defensive line includes Caleb Brantley, one of the best DTs in the country and CeCe Jefferson, a future first round draft pick.

The Gators offensive line held their own for much of the season despite starting 3 true freshman and one sophomore. The Gators have depth and talent and experience along the OL, which will lead to marginal improvement at the worst.

The Gators will be improved at every position on the offensive side of the ball and will maintain an elite level on defense. People who don't know anything about Floridas roster need to take a second look. This team gets no respect, but they will be much better than a lot of people think.

Don't really give a shite about the polls.

If UF is good, the polls will fix themselves.

I wasn't saying your RBs won't be talented. I was just surprised that they're predicted to be your best RB combo in 10 years. That seems a little bold considering your team's history, along with the production of these RBs at the college level so far. Not saying they won't be great, I just think it's a little early to say that.

UF's kicking game can't be worse, and getting Piniero was massive.

I don't think anyone thinks your DBs won't be great.

Your defense could still be elite, but you can't deny you lost a lot of talent on that side of the ball.

Offense should be better, but Cronkrite hasn't really proved squat so far, and neither has Del Rio. I think McElwain is a great offensive coach, and I expect that side of the ball to be improved for sure, just that a lot of it is unknown IMO.
