It didn't take it for Saban, Miles or Orgeron to win national titles.

Seriously, ULM has no business being in the FBS. They can't compete. They're 0-4 this year are giving up over 40 ppg to their opponents.
La Tech has been a moderately successful G6 program on a consistent basis but fails to win conference championships even at that level.
USL has been sporadically successful but very inconsistent in the G6 arena.
None of them will ever be able to compete in the new era. ULL has a deficit of over $13.3 million and Tech 11.9 million just to be competitive at the G6 level.

Frankly the whole G6 level should be playing for their own championship separate from the CFP. They are going to struggle to find P4 opponents in the 24 playoff scenario if the CFP rules dictate that all P4 teams must play a minimum of 10 total P4 games. There just aren't enough games to go around.

I am sure the G6 could pool their media rights to make it financially more viable for each of those programs.

They should. NLU football was a lot more fun than ULM football.

But not nearly as profitable. I wonder if that will matter?
